The Oven Door

There is a gem in Mitchell, The Oven Door my first time there for a long time ⌛, as l go into the Bakery they have renovated the Bakery and I look around the new look where is the counter is, as I remember the last time I was in the Bakery. When the Oven Door opens in the early years of Mitchell I go there often to get some food. We come to have our Lunch there , Meat Lovers Burger , and the next meal Aussie Beef Burger , and cappuccino and coffee that is so delicious. We had Caramel Cheesecake , so smooth in your mouth and delicious . Come and try the delicious foods and cold drinks. Some of the delicious food that has for sale like Plane Sausage rolls , Plane Meat Pie , Cheese and Spinach Quiche, Bread Rolls Sandwiches , and much more delicious food . They have amazing bread and delicious bread rolls , get some. Christmas is here get some lovely tarts, you will love them. Open from Monday to Friday 7 am to 2.30 pm. And Saturday from 7.30 pm to 1.00 pm.

Nice place to get a quick bite for lunch open 7am-3pm and closed on weekends. Good range of pies, sausage rolls, sandwiches and pizzas. Meat lovers pizza was tasty. Clean place, fair prices and friendly staff.

I have been going here for a while and my gosh is this place awesome. I asked and everything is made in-house, the sausage rolls, pies. As well as the burger I had today are by far the best in Canberra. Most of Canberra food sucks in my opinion, it's good that there is finally a place that actually cares. The sausage rolls are extremely moist and properly flakey, not the dry garbage you get in other places. The pies hold together and actually have flavour. The pre-made bread rolls seem to all use the same base veges, but the meats and sauce is different. Turkey seems to be the best in my opinion, but since the bread is made there, it is so soft with the nice roasted seaseme seeds on top giving it a lovely scent as you're eating it. And probably the best thing of all was today I got the meat lovers burger, it was so juicy and succulent. The sauce was balanced well, it was packed with cheese and it was massive. It was BY FAR the best burger I've ever had in Canberra. I told my colleague to get one for his lunch, and he loved it. There are only a couple of downsides. Since it's Mitchell they don't sell much bread for being a bakery, it makes sense since I don't think many would buy it, they are more focused on the snacks and meals. The only downside with the burger is I don't think the inside of the bun was toasted, so it got a tad soggy. Other than that stuff, this place is just wonderful, I can't stress it enough. I suggest you go there and just try a simple sausage roll. I hope this business will grow and envelop Canberra with its mastery of actually caring about their product.

I used to go to The Oven Door for lunch every week when I worked in Mitchell but I still get it delivered, now that I live nearby but work elsewhere... Good quality food, generous portions and quality customer service. The eggs benedict roll, selection of pies and pastries are spot on. Thanks T.O.D.

I get the Oz Burger from the Oven door every day while at work . Best burgers in the area. Was recently on lockdown and nearly risked the $1600 fine to come grab one. Would recommend. Great service. Friendly staff that remember your names. 5/5

Lovely staff, great food, crackin' sausage rools! Food is consistently good, always new and interesting burger combinations which taste incredible. Salad rolls are the perfect bakery qualify you come to expect. Pies are fantastic too. Worth a trip out of your way.

Great range of food all made on site! Pies, sausage rolls, pasties, cakes & great coffee! They also have a cook during the day with an extensive made fresh while you wait menu. Prices are very reasonable too! Well worth a visit if you're in the area.
