It was yummy. I like fish tacos on the lunch menu. A bit wait for the food but still acceptable. I went back twice just before the lockdown in regional areas and it was closed. I assumed maybe was too quiet in the Bowral area.
Very nice food and very friendly staff, the food was delicious and fresh, we came from Sydney and wanted to eat their sour bread, after 12 o 'clock at noon, the shop did not provide them, the staff gave us two pieces of sour bread for free, thank you very much! We'll be back again.
What a lovely cafe in the heart of Bowral. A huge space so it was easy enough to get a table, and the service was fast and friendly. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. All in all a great place to stop and eat.
Setup excellent. Food a bit pricey for what you get. Wine and beers available
How this place has a rating above 4.0 is beyond me. Had lunch with a small group and the service is painfully slow, we waited 25mins just for our drinks to arrive and had to ask for water for the table. I ordered the Reuben sandwich which was easily the worst I have ever tasted and the smallest I have seen. The sandwich had no Dijon mustard, the smallest amount of pickled cabbage and had spinach for some odd reason. I asked if I could have the Reuben without spinach but apparently this was too difficult. Avoid this place and dine elsewhere, nearly any cafe in the highlands is better than this place. Very disappointing...
Fantastic food and service, coffee was excellent and would recommend to everyone.Food: 5/5
I have never had to deal with such a rude owner/manager before in my life. Not only was she awful to my family but also to my friends on a seperate occasions. I would never recommend this cafe to anyone. Disappointed and disgusted.
Great eye catcher meal the pancakes bacon and eggs combo 5*, fritters on the other hand were a bit dry. Kids play area a bonus Good open space Kid-friendliness: Kids corner
The Mill is a vintage cafe in the beautiful town of Bowral. It has a cosy and pleasant atmosphere. The staff are always friendly and energetic. As a bonus, they have free Wifi, but please only use it if you are alone, otherwise try to socialise. The menu is complete for both breakfast and lunch and the food quality and garnish is top notch. They also offer several vegan and vegetarian meals. I highly recommend their fresh juices.
Head here on every 3rd Friday of the month for Fri-Yay! celebrations! An open fire, pop-up food stalls and local beer and wine selections. The Mill Cafe next door is a large renovated warehouse filled with arts and crafts surrounding a log fire. We visited the cafe during Pie Time in June and while the beef and ebony porter pie was not available, we deferred to the Chicken and Mushroom Pie which was the pie of the day and the fish cakes With large pieces of chicken surrounded by a creamy gravy made this pie a real hit. There was no overpowering mushroom taste at all. The parsnip mash had a nice texture and sharpness to it as well. The fish cakes though were the real hit!
