What a beautiful patisserie with an amazing range of beautiful fresh pastries & cakes. Just look at all of the ribbons & awards they have won which really speaks for itself. The store itself & the staff themselves all looked great & clean & the prices were very reasonable. The staff were also very pleasant & helpful too in answering questions. This was our first visit but we will definitely be back & will try the meat pies next time as well.
Surprise hit. Lamb and rosemary pie almost lived up to expectations. Tasted incredible with proper chunks of meat. A bit too much gravy and the top of my pie was a little undercooked, but perhaps that was just my luck. Salted caramel tart and vanilla slice was also exceptional. I was worried about being hit with pure sweetness but actually was not too sweet. Customer service was fantastic. Pies were served with a smile and I barely had to wait with 3 staff taking orders. I bought some pies to take home. They accidentally gave me a steak and kidney instead of a lamb and rosemary. I thought they'd just swap the pies, but they just gave me an extra pie.
Beautiful store with friendly staff. The almond croissant & banoffe tart were some of the nicest pastries we have eaten. Wasn’t a fan of the choc eclair- the icing on top made it too sweet. Almond croissant was large, flaky & delicious. The tart was not only beautifully presented but had a perfect balance of flavours - definitely not too sweet. Prices are at the higher end, but comparable to what you’d expect in this region. We clearly enjoyed this bakery enough to return a couple times whilst in the area :-
The best selection of pastries. Everything was so fresh. The staff were very friendly. I highly recommend their eclairs and apple turnover. Also, I am not a pie eater but I really enjoyed the chicken & leek pie. I also had the crunchiness croissant. Very good coffee too. There is certainly a lot of delicious food to buy here
Been here two times & totally obsessed with the banoffee tart - so creamy and perfectly balanced. The raspberry cheesecake was really smooth but the bottom cornflake/oatmeal crust was questionable. Slightly disappointed with the service we received, the lady at the counter was a little rude and didn’t have much patience explaining what each cake was. Nevertheless, great selection of cakes & pastries, will still come back.
The best patisserie I have ever been to! No exaggerating either. Place has won several awards and you realise firstly as you enter and lay your eyes on the works of art behind the glass counters and then confirmation of it once you taste the goodies! Keep it up guys everything we tried was phenomenal. Will be waiting for the honeycomb cheesecake to make its way back as this was by far my favourite!
"Life is short, Eat dessert first", this is Gumnut Patisserie, a must try dessert on your bucket list. I recommended the Salted Caramel Tart. Melted chocolate filled with sweet caramel cream, with a hint of sea salt. It just like those small road blocks in your life, once you get over, you'll be much stronger, healthier and happier.
Finally, we could try the pastries and cakes at Gumnut Patisserie Bowral after 3 times coming to Bowral on the day they closed the store. It was unbelievably good. My favourites were the mushroom pie, the bacon and cheese pie, and the vanilla slice. Cant wait to come back one day just to eat them again.
Delicious! My partner and I decided to come here to explore the suburb. We ordered the pulled beef and lamb rosemary pies along with an assortment of croissants, cakes and coffee and couldn’t get enough. We bought another assortment party bundle to bring home to our families. 9/10
Staffs are warm, friendly and helpful. But I was expecting a lot more from the sweet pastries after seeing the awesome displays. And as a pie lover I have to say the pies here are below average.
