Had a great experience at this cozy cafe/restaurant in Bowral!!! My sister recommended to try this restaurant and I did with my friend who visited me from overseas wouldn't want to take her anywhere and this place was 10/10… The pizza, the seafood spaghetti sorry it was a difficult name… and the green salad we had were absolutely delicious and large portioned! Even the coffee was great The owner and the waitress were very thoughtful and sweet too. I wish I could find a similar quality cafe in Sydney. Will definitely return when we visit Bowral!! I would highly highly recommend!!!
Lovely Italian food of good portions. Very busy, yet quite big place and can accomodate large groups. Great atsmosphere.
Garlic herb bread, Boscaiola, Ravioli, Bolognese, Cannelloni and a Mozzarella pasta. Amaretto sour, even the lemon lime and bitters. Wow. Possibly the best pasta I've ever had. It's art and it's brilliant.
Not done with this place. Ambient is classic european with amber lighting, golden and brown decor. Counting the hours for next visitation. This is an easy going restaurant that manages to make one of the tastiest meal. Love the bar and what it has to offer, appetitives, digestives, Spirits and bubbles.. like I say: there will be next visits. Small door opening may be hard to manouver wheelchairs and prams. This is because cashier is near the entrance. Patrons are queuing to pay and new guests are walking in. Booking is recommended. Wheelchair accessibility: Small entrance
We’ve frequented Caffe Rosso for more than 10 years as locals & love it, about time I shared my adoration. Unpretentious yet sophisticated. From dates pre kids to family friendly with kids, it’s our go to. Fantastic menu breakfast, lunch or dinner, beautiful seasonal specials. Perfect for all occasions. Awesome wine list & my favourite Italian craft beer. Excellent coffee & the desserts, stop it. Takeaway pizzas always a favourite too. Sebastian is a warm, welcoming host & great character. His staff always friendly & accomodating. Spoiled for choice with Italian cuisine yet I can rarely go past my favourite crazy water pic attached. I couldn’t recommend Caffe Rosso highly enough. We’re never disappointed, so consistently good! Vegetarian options: Several delicious vegetarian options & a flexible kitchen Kid-friendliness: High chairs always available, kids very welcome & always treated. Ours love the pizza & babycino’s! Parking: Ample parking adjoining Harris Farm which can get busy but block surrounded by street parking within easy, level walking distance Wheelchair accessibility: Ground floor adjacent to ample parking, easily accessible Dietary restrictions: Flexible & accomodating, nothing is too much trouble
We were a group of 10 comprising of one Vegan and one Coeliac. Neither was a problem. We both got our own separate entree to the rest of the table whom were sharing. My Gluten free seafood pasta was exceptionally tasty, This was also the only restaurant we went to on our 4 day trip in Bowral that served up a Gluten free beer and it was a great one at that. I feel these guys go out their way to cater for all..
The pizza was great. But the man I assume the owner turned out to be an extremely obnoxious individual. When me and my partner were out on our table talking he yelled out the door from around 10 metres away “did you order the pizzas!!” We said yes? And he just swung his head back around and went back inside. We then ate our pizza which was delicious but our coffees had still not arrived so as I went inside to ask about them. I seen them still on the table and me and other patrons continued to wait while he abused his staff members out the back, mind you we could hear the whole conversation of him talking down to them. Staff Cleary do not enjoy this person being around as I felt like they had taken on his stressed energy whilst he was around and we just feel incredibly sorry for them.
Cafe Rosso is an amazing hidden treasure found in Bowral. Whilst the authentic Italian food was exceptional what really made the evening for us was the hospitality provided by Seb and his staff who were throughout, a source of knowledge and warmth. Would highly recommend.
Attended recently, for the first time and was berated by the waitress for not looking at the pizzas, which I had in fact done and because I was not sure of the pizza name was spoken to like a small child!! Not pleasant, couldn't wait to leave and will never return. Service staff are expected to provide service & not berate customers. Three times I was told the need for customers to look at the pizzas to make their choice. Embarrassing & belittling, arrogant & demeaning not the experience I expect to go with lunch. Never ever again.
3.6. Nice cafe attached to the Harris Farm supermarket. The coffee was good here and the service charming in an understated way. We decided to have two pizzas, a fungi and a ham and cheese. Both were good. They could have been a tad warmer but they tasted good and had lovely thin crusts. It’s a good place that we’d happily visit again.
