The Lunchroom is a daytime a la carte eatery and grab-and-go in the heart of Auckland’s CBD.

Story

Nourishing. Fairtrade. Organic. Hand-picked. Locally-sourced. Design-led. The Lunchroom is your urban sanctuary in the heart of the CBD.

Taking inspiration from the old coastline where the Tower Building at 45 Queen St is positioned, every facet of this daytime eatery from the architecture and furnishings to the food on your handcrafted plate, has been carefully thought out to create an innovative culinary experience.

We are open from 7am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, providing grab-and-go if you’re on the move or a full a la carte menu if you have time to stay. Our offering includes contemporary café style food with a focus on fresh quality ingredients and simple flavour combinations, complimented by Kokako organic coffee.

Sustainable and ethical business practises are at the heart of everything we do. Where possible we source local, organic and fair trade products and we are great believers in provenance – tracing our food from farm to table.

To further your coffee experience, we will be introducing a number of soft brew techniques and single origin beans at our espresso bar. Whether you’re new to the coffee scene or your idea of heaven is a 90+ single origin syphon, come and check us out.

We will also be fully licensed, offering a range of boutique wines, beers and spirits, and a catering and function venue for evenings and weekends.
