The Local has a great range of traditional pub meals available, including daily chef specials and weekly specials.

Come and enjoy one of the great drink specials during Happy Hour from Monday to Thursday between 4pm-6pm and 3pm-6pm on Fridays. With big screen TV's and projectors screening an array of games, the Local is a fantastic venue to watch your favourite sport live.

The private function room upstairs has the capacity to cater to 250 cocktail style or up to 80 sit down and can offer a variety of food and beverage options. This room has its own dance floor and private bar and its versatility means that the area can be transformed to meet your needs.

BASIC PUB FOOD - REASONABLE FOR THE PRICE simple pub at the bay end of the street. The kind if place you'd go for a beer with friends on a weekend. Indoor and outdoor seating. Order via qr code on your table or go up to the bar if you can't/ won't use the qr code. Service is not fast so if you are driving avoidthe 60 minute street parking spots. Toilet at rear of dining hall - all on one flat level but people with mobility issues may struggle negotiating the doors into the toilet area.
Great little hotel! Serving food all day with great choices for vegos and AMAZING service. We had mushroom and haloumi burgers which were delicious! The chips were awesome too. Good sized servings. Very comfortable, cruisy atmosphere on a Thursday afternoon. Excellent place. Highly recommend The Local when you're in Port Melbourne.
Big boy parma was actually small for $28 yet pretty tasty. Mates meal was pretty good although he said it was a processed style chicken
Excellent food and service. Valentine's Day dinner with friends who live locally was busy, but staff handled drinks, orders and food with aplomb. I enjoyed a delicious Barramundi, potato salad and broccoli. Others had pork belly and fish and chips. All meals were yummy. Although we live in the northern suburbs, it was worth the drive. Highly recommended.
Came here for trivia, it was fun and had a great variety of questions. The food was tasty and had plenty of allergy friendly options. It was easy maybe too easy to order next drinks through my phone. Great vibe!
Wandered in for one, stayed for hours! I have not encountered a friendlier, more engaging or entertaining group of bar staff before. They provided banter, humor, conversation, great drinks and all during the extended abnormal hours offered during the Soccer World Cup. Thank you to the bar staff Fiona, Dean, Tom who made for such a great time but to the Local Management please pass on my thanks to the three working Saturday morning from the first soccer match through to England V USA. To anyone wondering if The Local is any good, stop in for a drink, just let someone know you're going to be home late.
This was good & bad. There was a extremely noisy group next to us that was constantly screaming, so if looking for a quiet place this is not it, it's usual noisy loud pub, so perfect for those group get togethers, best of all though was the steak, wow, how delicious. Absolutely perfectly cooked, tasty charcoal seasoning, just fantastic. Didn't expect such a great 5 star steak. Yum.
Great service, great food. Chips are fantastic. But $3 for 30ml of peppercorn sauce... That is a bit steep. Not even full.
The Local is a great place to go and feels like visiting family . From well priced and yummy food to a great selection of beers and much more , like Trivia night , the Local attracts people of all ages . In fact , I was introduced to this pub by my 20 yr old daughter ! The Local Is a great place to relax in a family friendly environment. The staff are lovely . Suzy is so nice and complimentary whilst we’ve gotten to know Ally and Patrick , who also provide great service , are friendly faces to have a chat with , and they make an effort to get to know you . Give the Local a go ! Cheers ! Frank
Great food, excellent prices and amazing service. They happily changed the TV channel for my cricket loving teen. Notably - whatever they sprinkle on the chips was real flavoursome.
