Remarkable collection that we unfortunately did not get to fully explore. My boyfriend attempted to engage the gentleman behind the counter in friendly conversation, but apparently said the wrong thing. He attempted to apologize  and explain he was just trying to make conversation and leave it at that, but the gentleman persisted in insulting us, describing how unreasonable he finds Americans to be. Even as we tried to leave, he stopped us to insinuate that because we are American, we are psychopaths (literally, he started quoting questionable statistics about the percentage of psychopaths diagnosed in the US), and said that we should just stay in our own country. Truly a shame as we were really enjoying looking around and there are some amazing items. If you are determined to go here, I would recommend you keep your mouth shut, especially if you are not Australian.

Owner is so rude, I went in with a few friends to check out the store. The owner said we had to leave because we were ‘immature kids’...we are all 20. It was a real disappointment as I personally love reading, especially old books.
Would rate 0 stars if I could.

AMAZING STORE!!!!!! Unique jewelry and an incredible selection of unusual books. You can find works on time travel, philosophy, the occult and so much more! A wonderful place to browse. The owner is very uninhibited about expressing his personal opinions but he is incredibly knowledgeable about many subjects and I loved talking to him! Such a gem of a store!

Choose your questions wisely, this guy is very knowledgeable.  It appears if you are truly interested and ask the right leading questions about your desired topic, he will open up and share the most amazing information you would never have thought of.    So much knowledge taking it to the next level to challenge and grow.

An interesting place with a unique selection, for sure. But as others have previously mentioned, the owner can come off as rude. Maybe that just the way the NPC of the shop was programmed. Just stick to business, be polite and don't try to make small talk.
