Reading prior reviews my expectation of quality of service wasn't very high... But I have to say our server for the night was wonderful and very accommodating.
The entree warm loaf is a must and I left feeling like I was about to enter a food coma after how filling the lamb shanks were.
A bit on the pricey side, but I would go again!

This place is modelled on an old English country pub. It has a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. In winter there is an open fire. The menu has a good selection and meal portion sizes are very good. 
There is a pool table and an outside area for smokers.
There is also weekly  specials and caters for all ages.
Very nice pub. Highly recommended.

Went there today for birthday lunch and was very disappointed To say the least.  I have been there before and the meals were very good..today only one out of six meals were nice.the steaks were not cooked as requested and the seafood platter was dry and overcooked.my fish was tasteless. .for the prices we paid for the meals i was not impressed..extremely disappointed..

Great fast service and the food is ALWAYS excellent. They have the best parma in Melton as well. I've gone here so many times with my partner and we have never been disappointed. The only thing is, they can be very busy during peak seasons, to the point where it is impossible to get a walk-in. Tip: make your bookings in advance during peak seasons.
