Story

Jude Riddell opened The Frock Shop in September 2001 having had a love affair and passion for clothes and fashion throughout her life as she navigated her way through successful careers of Secondary Teaching, Social Work and subsequently Psychotherapy.
The Frock Shop is an iconic Fashion Boutique on the Kapiti Coast at Raumati Beach Village, and also operates an online store at www.thefrockshop.co.nz. We have over 22 designers all of which are NZ designed apart from the staple NYDJ and New London Jeans. We pride ourselves with our NZ labels and our preference is made in NZ.
Jude’s reputation and flair at The Frock Shop is intrinsic to her personal style philosophy which encourages women to look their best every day not just when they are going out. The Frock Shop is about ATTITUDE in dressing, projecting a strong, confident self rather than following fashion stereotypes of who we think we are, or should be and how we think others perceive us.
Jude has trained extensively in Styling and Colour Image Consulting and brings these added skill to her clients at The Frock Shop.

Had so much fun when shopping at the Frock Shop. Tried several items and the sales assistant was so friendly  very helpful and completely honest in her thoughts which is what we would all like when shopping.   Eventually walked out with 3 items, very happy.

The Frock Shop is always first stop for friends visiting or staying. Service is friendly and helpful without any feeling of pressure  making it a very pleasant experience.

Once again lovely service when shopping at the Frock Shop. Love my dress I brought and was nice seeing all the people I knew when I'm at the village. Thanks Meelee and the team.

Be careful if you shop online from this retailer. It was a real struggle to get a refund out of them for a returned purchase as they say they will only refund if the garment is the wrong size. They had sent me the right size but it was too big! How is a customer going to know if the purchase is right for them until you try it on! I won’t be shopping with The Frock Shop again.

Saw "THE " Frock thru the window, during Lockdown. Went online and bought it. Thrilled. There are always lovely clothes inthe store but sometime s its nice to just browse online. And knowing that if I didnt like the item I could return locally made it even easier. Lovely shop, lovely clothes and lovely service. I'll be back

A beautiful wee gem of a frock shop in the gorgeous wee seaside township of Raumati, such stunning clothes and wonderful staff, all so helpful and nothing was a problem, highly recommend  this shop for your next outfit, my favourite place to shop of all time.Thanks team you rock.
