1 of those off to the side alley hidden gems where the owners put their heart and soul into the mix with their sweat and tears & you know what... That's the exact mixture to get such a place where it not only smells and tastes like the genuine thing, it looks and feels perfect too... 1 not to miss if you're close or id even go far as to say, take a detour if you have to, your Insta followers will thank you for the pics...
Very nice cafe with delicious dishes & coffee!nnMy order is short ribs, it taste good and well done juicy beef ribs. And the meat burger cooked by pulled beef ribs not mince, that’s more nice!nnMust say, there have the most tasty nuggets & chips in all cafe I went. I dunno how to describe, it’s crispy even the nuggets. My son love it and finish 2 serves! lolnnFrom the menu, we believe that the price hasn’t change for few years already. It’s cheap for a brunch nowadays!!
Received a coffee with hair on it which was immediately swapped for a new one, not a problem. The smashed avocado had no flavour to it and tasted like it was microwaved or diluted in someway. No salt or pepper except for the mushrooms. There was a tiny sprinkle of feta as shown in the pic for 2 breads. My friend ordered a veggie burger which had no sauce in it at all, no flavour or seasoning. Given the reviews it was really disappointing and it cost $50, I really wanted to enjoy a good flavourful brunch. The fries were the only well cooked and seasoned food. The staff was friendly however but the cashier didn’t ask how we liked the food, assuming they knew it was bad.
On a hot day, you’d expect a café to serve an iced latte that’s at least inviting to drink, not a small glass mug with old-looking coffee and a single cube of ice. It’s the worst coffee I’ve had in a while. The waitress was also standoffish.nnDon't believe me? Here’s a photo to prove it. The food was decent, but I won’t return.
Great food at a great price, especially considering the area. We were sat right at the front bar section which was nice because we could see the leaves falling in Ivanhoe but the front bar is attached to the glass wall that the door is on and it violently shakes when the door opens and closes. Not the best design.nnIt’s also extremely loud in the cafe and could do with some soundproofing from carpets or runners.nnNice to visit. Would recommend sitting outside if you can.
