This spacious cafe promised lots of sweet, chocolatey treats and the menu was definitely reflective of this. Having a huge range of flavours under their Italian Hot chocolate, shakes and Monster shakes category as well as lots of waffles & pancakes with various toppings. The display cabinets were filled with ready made cakes which were fairly standard offerings and chocolates and a few savoury sandwich items. On this occasion, I only tried the Italian hot chocolate and Belgium hot chocolate as well as a Kit Kat Thick shake. All provided a very sweet kick and were enjoyable, although the hot chocolates were served luke warm which was a little disappointing. The kit kat shake had a good amount of ice cream which made it thick and was great but a bit more chocolate would have been good. It was not a busy cafe and there was only 1 staff so service was quite slow. But when you are not in a hurry and want to sit back and have a nice indulgent drink and something sweet to accompany it, it is a good place to go.
Not much for atmosphere. The waitress needs to be able to speak English
Amazing Sheesha and great milkshakes/desserts. I only wish there were more heaters as it gets pretty chilly when you sit outside for long hours. The staff is super friendly. It's my go to place for a chill evening with friends.
The service was great, We had hot chocolates, 1 dark italian hot chocolate, the Italian hot chocolate was not thick, they taste like milk with powder. We also had cheesecake which was delicious however was wrapped in a plastic covering which made it difficult to take it a part eat from.
This is the first & last time, I try The Chocolate Room Leichhardt. I ordered the Fairy Floss Doffle dessert & it was absolutely awful. The donut was stale and overly fried... could only have a bite, the lollies were super hard, the waffle was soggy, the ice cream was half melted & the chocolate sauce was weak, like it was diluted with water. It was the worst dessert I have ever eaten. If you want a good quality waffle dessert, go to Oliver Brown or Chocolate Del Mondo. This was a complete waste of money & a huge disappointment. My rating: -0 Stars
Always a great place to get a hot Chocolate or other desserts. Very tasty chocolate, and plenty of space to sit. though not being able to eat outside in the 'smoking' area was a bit annoying having to change seats...
Fantastic selection of chocolate sensations and cakes! The staff were warm, inviting and friendly, the atmosphere was warm and comfortable. Prices are very reasonable. To hell with dieting haha :P
I was having a coffee after dinner and when it came to closing time, the waiter was rude, passive aggressive and stroppy towards me instead simply telling me that they were closed. I didn't even realize as there was still another table of people and nobody bothered to say anything to me. I finally got the moody indirect hints and asked him if they were closing to which he replied "yeah we're waiting for you" before going inside to point at and complain loudly about us to who I assume was a friend or a colleague. Absolutely gormless.
One of a kind cafe, I haven't seen so many flavors in hot chocolate. Impressive. Their wraps were amazing as well. Wish they had more outlets
Don't order tiramisu thunder. It's a disgrace. The waffle is soggy. The ice cream melted by the time it reaches the table. Presentation is not pleasant. Tiramisu at woolworths is better . Very disappointing.
