Nicest people in the business. *Always* early or at the very worst, on time, and apologetic for not being earlier! Food is delish, generous portions, tasty, and not expensive. The nights they deliver themselves are better as they make more money than if they have to use one of the delivery services.
The worst thai food in Sydney I ever have. Last week, odered Chili basil combinaison was very sweet. I requested Extra spicy but it was so so sweet, chicken, beef, bbq pork they were not fresh at all. Today give them the 2nd chance. Ordered chicken satay. The worst chicken satay I ever have again. The chicken they cooked has been frozen. I'm OK alot of restaurant do that too. But the quality was so bad. It's so hard to bite. They fried chicken not grilled. Satay sauce has no taste. Green curry chicken was so so sweet like desert eventhough I asked Extra spicy. I'm so Sorry. I Don't know how they can win the award Best​ thai food or something from menulog.
Cheap and cheerful. Really fresh and tasty food. Very clean, pleasant causal seating. A great find, I'd recommend this place without hesitation. Most dishes on the menu are delicious. Its conveniently located and not too expensive.
Fabulous noodle bar on Norton street, fresh clean soup, if you love noodle soup try Mekong. They also uber deliver, fast and friendly service. $10 lunch deal, large soup and drink. I’ve been here a few times now and stock for the soups is always delicious
Best laksa in leichhardt area, even the vegetarian laksa taste nice. Before this, I couldn’t find any laksa in leichhardt I would want to give a 2nd chance. The vegetarian pad see ew was really nice too. Very efficient too, I ordered via the phone before I left, when I get there it’s already done. So just simply pay and pick up the food.
The chicken satay was utterly revolting - aside from being fried instead of grilled, it was undercooked! See pic - I hope we dont get food poisoning! The laksa was one of the worst ever - thin and tasteless - nothing to do with laksa as we know it, and tasted like it was out of a can. The Rendang was at best mediocre - not cooked medium hot as requested in fact not hot whatsover - and pretty bland and uninspired. Totally underwhelming. Food made with no love or pride. Incredibly disappointing.
Mekong Sweet & Sour Pork - A review First Impressions - Overly generous potions of onion, celery, carrot and capsicum suggest that the cooks advise eating this rugged meal with a knife and fork. It's suprising not to find along with my meal instructions for recovering from an airway obstruction. Did I order a vegetarian meal by mistake? Through the maze of vegetables perhaps I can see something in the shadows... Culinary experience - Nervous, I mix my takeaway meal in its plastic container in the search for the elusive pork. Hiding sheepishly on the bottom are six thin solitary pieces of BBQ pork. To savour these meager meat rations I decide on a ratio of 10:1. Ten dreary mouthfuls of the cheapest vegetables on the market to one sliver of pork. I tell myself the reward for enduring the ten mouthfuls of vegetables is worth the sacrifice. Alas it is not so. My meal I found wanting. Did I not order Sweet & Sour PORK? This meal was butchered by vegetables. A sweet and sour Corruption by onion and celery filler. Who is madder? The man who cooks such a meal and deems it fit to serve OR the man who would eat it? The verdict - Stick to the Laksa it is awesome. One of the best in the area.
They say whole Maryland chicken then send me a quarter chicken. I call them to say they need to change the menu that there is a mistake. I couldn’t believe what I was going to get back from this guy, first he tells me that it’s a mistake from menulog. Okay fine out of curiosity I check their website it says the same thing. So I call back then he tells me no that this is a whole Maryland chicken lol. Then tells me I don’t know Asian food etc. I dunno, I might not have ordered a quarter chicken but moreover I especially don’t like being lied to… so beware of these guys.
Flavourless, watered-down Laksa served without cutlery or napkins take-away. The $15 minimum spend for eftpos is also a joke in this day & age. The spring rolls are the only thing lifting this review from a single star
