Newly built playground with lots of seating for families. BBQ and restroom nearby.
Not quite as fun for the upper primary aged kids since the renovation. It's smaller. Still a good place to go for a longer play. Well maintained BBQ facilities and toilets.
It has been recently renovated. Very nice indeed.nn1 important note: 1 of the new circular swing area, the ground is non slip material which is very slippery especially after rain. A older lady told me she pushed the swing and she slipped and fell down, she had to duck and roll away to avoid the incoming swing which could have knocked her back, causing injury.
Great playground - one of the best I've been to in a decade of visiting them as a parent. Lots of large undercover table areas - which attract large family gatherings so you may find no spots free. The play and climbing equipment is fantastic and well designed. It's the first place I've seen with the usual 'shopfront' imaginary play area which has an appropriate menu stick salad, bark chips, twig tea etc. Very clever. There's accessible play areas too, lots of shade both trees and sails. The views of the rest of the truly enormous Ruffy Parklands stretches out below. About the only negative are the LFE transmission lines which run overhead right along the perimeter of the playground.
Such a nice spacious playground, lots of fun for the kids, has shades and lots of benches for adults to sit as well.nMy husband, who is never very enthusiastic about play areas, even commented that this is a very nice playground!
