We're a small independent bookstore located in Queenscliff, Victoria. Books for adults, children and young adults. Literary fiction, politics, history, memoir, interior design, art, popular science, and much more. Author events throughout the year. Bookseller for the annual Queenscliffe Literary Festival. This bookshop is a gem! Don’t be fooled by its relatively small size, as it is well-stocked and the selection is extremely well-curated. On top of that, staff are lovely and happy to share recommendations. If you’re in or even around Queenscliff, do yourself a favour and check out The Bookshop.

Lovely book shop located centrally in Queenscliff. Stocks all the latest editors as well as a great section for kids. Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Good parking out the front or down the side streets

What a bright haven The Bookstore is, with hidden gems competing alongside current bestsellers, carefully selected children books and a diverse non-fiction section. But mostly, it’s the personalised and considered advice of Pauline - who recommended three books that were right on point for me after one conversation - that ensures my first visit won’t be my last. Recommend.

A pure delight.  Portarlington  folks  don't forget this to check out books for gift..  Definitely found a joyful place to visit...and coffee  shops near by!  Some book shops can be a little dust. THIS ONE AMAZINGLY  neat clean.

We had such a lovely experience today when we visited the store greeted by a cheerful staff member on arrival she made our daughter feel very comfortable to look around at the books we have visited the shop so many times before and love buying from their vast and different range but today was different it’s been hard with a lot of stores during Covid to find that balance with being cautious but remaining friendly and approachable to customers the person working in the store today Sunday 11th July really made us walk out wanting to come back I’m sorry I didn’t catch her name but she is a real asset to the business

Happy quiet bookstore in a beautiful town. Happy staff who are happy to help. Lots of parking outside on in side street.
