I went into the store recently. I don’t believe I have ever had a worse experience in a retail establishment, nor have I ever felt compelled to write a review. I had a mask on, and checked in as required. I was in the store less than a couple of minutes, as I tried to exit she screamed at me aggressively ‘You need to show me your vaccination right now!’ I tried to tell her I was leaving, she continued to scream at me. I resentfully showed her because of her attitude and left quite annoyed. I would NEVER spend a cent there upon principle, and the stuff was average and WAY overpriced anyway. She should reflect upon her treatment of customers. We are all living in a challenging time, but there is no excuse for rude, aggressive and unpleasant behaviour. Do yourself a favour and avoid this shop altogether.
I had walked into the store the same time as 2 older couples. We all browsed around and did a lap of the shop like any other person. The couples left and I was leaving just behind them. I was almost at the door, when the lady behind the counter just lifted her head up and says to me rudely "show me your covid certificate!" Didn't ask anyone else that had come in around the same time as me but only wanted to see mine. Felt singled out and it was just overall rude. Won't be returning at all!
OMGOSH what can I say about this store, as I’m standing outside the store that I came in with a friend . Friend just ask if better price as a little steep. If was a question that required a yes or no. Instead got an ear full as to how hard she has had it in theses times.. well to the owner lady there today please humble yourself and be greatfull to your customers as that’s what keeps your doors open, as we all are in hard times. And to my friend you so rude fully yelled at, in theses hard times she had to close her door. As someone coming from across the sea will never ever set foot in your store or recommend it to anyone, cause as your customers all we leave with is your arrogance. Shame on you
Upon entering this ladie's store, my friend and I were attacked for being exempt from wearing masks. We showed her ID upon request, but then got nasty, snide comments regarding our exemptions. We were made to feel very uncomfortable and decided to leave. She started yelling at us as we left and we stated calmly that it was against the law to ask to see a medical exemption. She was very aggressive and rude and told us that the system was wrong that she couldn't see our medical exemption. We told her that this isn't the way you treat customers and she proceeded to tell us to "get out" which we did.
The proprietor of this cramped, cluttered shop loudly shamed a grown male customer for bringing a drink into her lair. She was so rude and obvious about it that the poor man attempted to defend himself, asking her to stop talking down to him. Watching this display inspired me to frog-march myself out of there before I copped a serve too. The rediculous prices prompted my swift exit as much as the proprietors’ disgusting behaviour - is it REALLY appropriate to charge $160 for a tiny vinyl handbag?? It’s certainly not appropriate to bully potential customers, but it seems this proprietor fancies her petty little shop as something to keep her occupied while she enjoys independent wealth because she clearly does not respect or value her customers as a source of income!
Very disgusted with how my friend was treated. They simply asked a question and was screamed at while there was other shoppers around. Would never come back
Never have I had such a toxic retail experience. The staff were utterly rude, they made no attempt to appear civil at all. In fact, their rudeness drove my girlfriend to tears. The overall tacky and overpriced products they peddle aren't worth the abuse, and I would implore you to not support such nasty people.
I love this shop. When staying on holidays, I always try and buy my gifts from there. I have found the lady to be helpful and pleasant. She always beautifully gift wraps my presents for me. I am surprised by the poor reviews.
I went in to the shop for a look around as i was in need of some home wear and the lady yelled at me for picking up a pillow, later screaming at me until i left the shop “say i have no right touching her stock” and followed me out of the shop. will never come back!!!
I definitely do NOT recommend this store. While browsing there today I overheard the woman behind the counter say something rude and totally uncalled for to a customer purchasing some items. I was so shocked I said nothing and have regretted it ever since! The poor thing looked like she’d been slapped and left the store almost in tears! Absolutely disgusting. You should not be in business. Appalling behavior!
