If you're looking for a great spot to spend a lazy afternoon, look no further than the little park located just across the road from a bustling shopping strip. This charming green space offers everything you need for a fun and relaxing outing, including BBQ facilities, toilets, and plenty of space to lounge and play. But what really sets this park apart is its proximity to a range of convenient shops and eateries. Whether you're craving a quick coffee, a tasty fish and chips meal, or even a refreshing alcoholic beverage, you can easily pop over to the nearby shops to satisfy your cravings. And if you're feeling like you need a little pampering, there's even a hair salon where you can get a fresh trim while enjoying the sights and sounds of the park. Overall, this lovely little park is the perfect place to spend a leisurely part of your day with family and friends. So pack your picnic basket, grab your frisbee or football, and head on over for a relaxing day out in the sunshine.
The basin triangle is a really amazing little place. There is a small stage area that is perfect for hosting small concerts and for the music festival that happens every year. It's a really nice space of nature that can be enjoyed by anyone at anytime. There is a nice playground there that I have fond memories of and the triangle is large enough to host things like small markets. Overall I love that it has been left to nature and isn't consumed by shops, it would really take away from the strong community of the basin Playground: Fun to play in and I have great memories of playing in it. It's a good size and has lots to do for children Restrooms: Normally the restrooms are clean. They are good to use and very functional Dog-friendliness: Dogs can run around and enjoy the area as well since it is large and parts of it are fenced off so they can't run to the road Picnic area: Large and spacious and can host lots of groups of people
Used to think of The Basin as a dodgy place but it certainly has changed. Lovely group of shops and fantastic coffee cafes. Has a cool vibe now. Park was fab for the kids, interactive play equipment, sand buckets attached etc toilets are modern and clean. Just a really lovely quaint village now
A small park with play areas, BBQ facilities, several seating areas, toilets and shades. Good for picnics. There is a shopping strip just across the street with some food outlets and a decent parking area.
A good variety of facilities suitable for a range of age group. The sand pit however had no sand in it.
It's a decent sized park with mountain views. There's a good variety of recreational facilities that kids love, ample space for picnics and for parking.
Awesome little park. Very popular with the locals. Could do with more shade over the play areas.
Great playground with good range of equipment for various aged kids, plenty of room and tables and chairs, enough shade for warmer weather. With 6 toilets including parents changing toilets and various options for snacks or lunch across the road very good option for letting the kids expel some energy. Wish the toilets had seats instead bare metal and hand soap, but toilet paper on the seat and hand sanitizer solves that.
Beautiful little park with some great events
The Basin Carols run by the local fire brigade were a great use of this space. Most enjoyable and thanks to the brigade. Playground: Pretty good Restrooms: Portable toilets were provided as well. Picnic area: Plenty of space.
