One of the wonders of the world. Well, maybe not officially, but I'm sure it will be soon. Atmosphere was electric (place was literally buzzing) and the service was faultless. There's not one cocktail that the bartender couldn't make or give his best shot. He even googled a few that he wasn't sure of to ensure he was doing it right. Now, that ladies and gentlemen is a good bartender. He wants to be remembered and that he will. I would like to know his name so I can thank him again, but that may be asking too much. You get plenty of drink for the price and its just value all round. Just keep doing what you did that night, got it in the bag guys.

I feel as if The Avenue is a touch overrated. Don’t get me wrong, the food is quite good, but not the best in the Gold Coast. The salad we ordered was a touch on the dry side, with some random ingredients not needed. We also ordered a cheesy garlic pizza, expecting to have a pizza with cheese and a garlic sauce base, but the pizza was just a really average Margherita with a garlic salt sprinkle, which was a major letdown. Finally, the chefs were assembling the plates with out gloves.

The staff were extremely nice though, and the decor is extremely nice and suits the food type.

My girlfriend had a burger which she said was good. I had a pizza, which was OK but I expected better for the price paid. The waitress was initially quite inattentive (we had to get the attention of the door greeter to be able to order) however this did improve over the night.

Walking by we stumbled across this place, looked at the menu on the street and were greeted by a member of staff who explained the dinner special, drink specials/recommendations. Decided you couldn't go past a cheap steak, we weren't expecting much for the price but WOW! cannot complain at all, massive meal cooked to perfection, cold drinks and an awesome atmosphere left us wanting more!

Everything deserves a 5 star. Visiting from Sydney, honestly the burgers, the beer and the customer service all are perfect, we will definitely go back on our next visit to Surfers Paradise.
