The lady serving in store is so rude. Karen her name. When I went back to take my shoes back and try something different. She basically told me there are no better shoes than the Hoka and she can't help me with another pair. She also said we have nothing in here with arch support so to look elsewhere. She lost my sale and another lady customer too. She also walked out because she was also rude to her. Karen certainly lives up to her name and should not be working there.. I bought a pair of shoes at anaconda and will never return to athletes foot at Glendale
I was nagged into getting a size too big “we have the machines and you’re wrong” and when I tried to return them I’d waited too long, their “help” would consist of selling me a pair in the size that I’d asked for originally with a small discount no thanks!
I regularly buy new shoes for a growing teenage son. Customer service in this place is excellent Shoes aren't cheap but my last purchase had $90 of discounts. Love the staff member K who advised my boy on how to look after his shoes, she is gold.
Ever time I have come into this store, the service has be exceptional. Very helpful polite staff. Highly recommend Thankyou
I loved the Glendale store. The majority of the staff are fantastic, and the store is always clean and tidy. I felt safe and happy going there. However, I went to this store one saturday morning. I managed to get fitted, but that was where it ended. The staff member told me I wanted shoes for walking I didn't, I needed them for running and the gym. She then told me my size, pointed out a few shoes, and went on to the next customer. The next customer was my support worker, who had taken me into the store. I am Autistic, with severe social phobia and severe anxiety. It takes a HUGE AMOUNT for me to even leave the house. I have gotten my shoes from this store for years, because it's a familiar routine and generally the staff are great. This saturday I had the misfortune to be "served" by a staff member who wouldn't help me try on shoes, wouldn't make recommendations, who sat and watched me tie my shoes up and tell my support worker I'd look online because the staff member wouldn't serve me. Other staff just stood back and watched. I figured I had my shoe size, I could just order online. Except the fitting was done incorrectly. So my two pairs of New Balance arrived, and don't fit. Then the sale ended. I rang customer support, and that is where I discovered what the athlete's foot is actually about. I explained that I had stupidly cut the return postage bag when I opened it, and explained the situation. Customer service explained there is NO policy or procedures in place when helping customers with disabilities. NO evidence of training or retraining has been extended after requesting numerous times. NO update regarding retraining staff at Glendale. NO update regarding action taken. NO offer to resend a postage paid envelope. NO offer to assist me in returning these shoes at all. I understand people need to be trained. But people with disabilities need footwear. If you can see a staff member is completely failing customers, step in and help them. If your staff member has completely stuffed up and a customer is left with shoes that don't fit, maybe HELP THE CUSTOMER. The situation for me is no joggers, sale is over, need to find somewhere else to get joggers from, need to find somewhere else I feel comfortable shopping. The Athlete's Foot at Glendale has always been my go-to. Now I need to find a new place to get shoes, a place where I might experience customer service, regardless of my disability. A place where I might get the right fitting. A place where customer service values the CUSTOMER. The ableism behind the scenes in customer support at the athlete's foot is truly disgusting. I have tried uncountable times to resolve this with no luck, so now I just have to warn other people with disabilities to AVOID THE ATHLETE'S FOOT
Staff were great, problem was only one person was serving at the time.
A female employee called Jess helped me out today. She screened me, and explained how my movement patterns detailed the preferred shoe. She was very thorough, polite, knowledgeable and patient. Since Im a bit indecisive about shoes. One of the best Athlete foot stores Ive been shopped at.
I went in there looking for some shoes for work as Id been having trouble with my feet. The service was exceptional! So knowledgeable! The sales assistant who served me took so much time to explain eveything about the products, the best fit for me and the problems I had been having. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.
Bought shoes worth a couple of hundred bucks. They fell apart within a few months. Nothing but hostility when I brought this to the attention of the manager. Had to go deal directly with the manufacturer instead. Go to Rebel instead. They're nicer and cheaper.
After visiting a podiatrist, it was clear that I needed some decent walking shoes, to care for my feet. A referral here to The Athletes Foot Glendale Stockland proved to be the answer Matthew was patient & super informative! He explained all of the features & benefits of each type of shoe until I found the right ones The store & staff are observing Covid standards
