Thai Riffic at The Spot in Randwick is definitely my favourite Thai food in Sydney. The food menu has been almost exactly the same for many years. My favourite dish is the Creamy Sweet Chilli Basil stir fry with prawns and the mini spring rolls. Yum. So good.
Great food ... except the roti was heavy, thick and small, just extremely disappointing. The other issue was the size of the rice bowls which were too small. But the mains were tasty and served quickly. The service was just adequate but disappointed that our mains sat on the table getting cold while we waited for the rice to arrive nearly 5 minutes later.
My family and I use to be loyal customers however last night was the final straw with this place. The portions have become so tiny - we ordered a red curry and there was 2 pieces of small broccoli and 2 pieces of capsicum and some carrot. Such a rip off. The chicken satay was so gross, dry and tough. I suggest pink Thai bistro on Frenchmans road, their portions are huge and have lots of veggies. To the owner, I hope you read this and implement some changes.
LATE AFTERNOON TEA “Green Curry”, reasonably spicy: though challenging to my plain it was nonetheless, most agreeable.
While the food was lovely, the server’s attitude means I will never return. We had a table of 10 about 3 m from the main desk, yet the server insisted that she wouldn’t come to our table to take the order and that we all had to get up and go to the desk to order. When one of our group went to the desk with our whole order, the server wrote it down on the same notepad that she would have used if she had walked the 3 m to our table. Ridiculous! Will never return.
Nice Thai restaurant in the spot in Randwick. The restaurant has a standard Thai menu with all the basics but nothing novel or exciting. Close to the Cinema which is handy for a pre or after movie meal. The food and service was good and fast so this is a good stop for a quick lunch or dinner. Good value for money, they also have weeknight specials.
Thai milk tea was diluted the moment we got it. Besides that everything else was delicious. Highly recommended the pork dumplings and duck salad.
It was not busy. Or not closed yet. Was plenty of time for closing. They were avoiding to sit people to have food. Girl on till was toooo rude sounds like she does not care even business goes to hell. Ignoring customers rudely. 17 nov 2022 around 8:30pm. What's the point for running business if not to respect customers.
Food is always delicious. Staff always friendly & perservere with my rudimentary level of Thai language. Highly recommend for either eat in or take away / delivery!!Food: 5/5
On a Tuesday night, this restaurant is buzzing. Very fast service, friendly staff, great value for money their 2 person $49 deal with two entree/two mains/two rice or noodles and two soft drinks or teas. The veggies in the main meals were lovely and crisp - we had a delicious dinner and enjoyable evening. Vegan, Gluten Free and Vegetarian options available.
