Superb meal! The food was delicious, the staff were excellent and the views are gorgeous. They even offered us complimentary champagne & dessert for my partner's birthday. A lovely restaurant!

When we arrived the staff were friendly and knowledgeable of the menu, and explained the dishes to us very well. We had the venison tartare and rabbit parpadelle to start, followed by the rib eye. We finished with the chocolate mess and cherry pudding. The venison tartar was clean and delicious, with an accompanying sauce that popped with flavour and complimented the venison beautifully. This was a really well done dish that I would recommend. The rabbit was good, but nothing amazing. We shared the rib eye, and it was the best steak I've had - on par with top steakhouses in Auckland. The meat was perfectly cooked, tender, and tasty. The chocolate mess resembled a mousse, with a delicate slightly sweet flavour. The salted caramel did not overpower the chocolate. The pudding was slightly more moist than I would have liked, but the cherries in the dish were absolutely divine.

Went for my wife's birthday. Excellent service combined with a stunning location and a combined food & wine experience that should not be missed.

Yes it is on the expensive side but also on par with most local vineyard restaurants. Book a table outside on a good summer evening to make the most of the surroundings. Food exceeded my expectations. Service was decent. And the view!!!
