I had pork and cashews for lunch today. The food was really good. Lots of fresh vegetables. Broccoli and cauliflower. It all tasted really good. Plenty of cashews and good size meal. Cost $16.50. So for what i paid i think it was good value. If you found this review helpful please click "Like"
So I went to this place tonight ordered a combination fried rice for $16 what I got was a bowl of rice that would likely. Cost $3 in ingredients, the labour of it plus skill It I appreciate when food is good but this was less than average. I understand the cost of living is going through the roof right now but this is ridiculous I cook a lot at home so maybe that’s why I am surprised but this cost vs value example just crosses the line. Skip this place spend your money elsewhere consider cooking at home.
Order Chinese fried rice chicken and beef it was tasteless and tasted like it was steamnot nice at all never going there again
Worse chinese food & fish n chips we have ever received in our lives, asked for sweet and sour chicken all we got was a a bowl of batter chicken and a separate sweet and sour sauce microwaved this is just lazy we paid $18 we also got the $8 2 fish bites and 1 crab stick the batter was horrible taste old the chips were still under done, the inside of store was dirty ceilings, table and fridges, we gave the 1 star because the lady who served us was nice never recommended anyone going here
Good find just by the town in havelock north. Got chicken wings, pork fried rice, and chicken chow mien. Would say that Pork dried rice is our favorite. They have some lunch deals where you could get small sized meals for only $9 and it’s more than enough for one person. Great food and host in store was very hospitable!
Got the Chinese dinner for two. Very nice... 28.12.19. got family meal 45.00. not impressed this time. Chicken/cashews just about all cauli and broccoli. Fried rice ok. Sweet and sour pork very dry like it was out of Bain maire from yesterday. Wontons..fingernail size meat inside and on the verge of overcooked. Had visitors visiting and they weren't impressed at all.
Charged me $26 for 3 fish and 2 scoops then afterward I saw specials on the wall which said 5 fish, 2 hot dogs, 2 scoops for$22!!!!! And another, 3 fish 2 hot dog and 2 scoop for $17......I questioned at time of order but no help given...wont be back
Note to the Happy Dragon: when you're asked...how long will my order take? You need a better answer than "we're busy but we're getting through it". We just waited an HOUR in the shop for our order, and the fare was very poor indeed and not worth the wait. First the good: the sweet and sour pork was good, so were the steamed dumplings but no soy sauce was provided. The rest of our family feed was pretty bad. The wontons didn't come with any sauce and were uninspiring. Chicken and cashew nuts was mostly cauliflower and not very tasty. The combination fried rice was disappointing and tasteless, not much meat and a gluggy mess. The worst part was the $15 fish, hotdog and chips family pack. They must have been cooked within a few minutes of our order and then left to sit for the rest of the hour while we waited for the bad chinese food to arrive. The fish, chips and hotdogs were cold, soggy and awful. My family and I are not fussy eaters, and we have eaten at the Happy Dragon before. I'm not someone who complains much but tonight's experience has compelled me to write this one star review.
Do not reccomend! My 5TH time coming here to try out your Chinese & it's always disgusting: i had fried rice today, never again
