Telstra WORST NBN Provider Telstra Australia's biggest NBN provider with a 30 day Satisfaction Guarantee, what could go wrong ? The new equipment arrived on the 17th Dec 2019 which was also the date of my 1st modem error reported to Telstra on there app. The Telstra plan was for 100mbps min but was only able to achieve 33mbps max when the modem would actually connect. 14 reported faults to Telstra with no action in 16 days. The smart modem also never switched to 4G, it just gave no service. By the 2nd of Jan 2021 we hadn't had any internet access for 10 days. The only reply from Telstra was an automated saying we had a 10 dollar credit for the inconvenience. We saw this as an acknowledgement that the device was faulty. We finally managed to cancel this service & they have billed us $165.00 for a faulty modem pro-rata. A 30 Day Satisfaction Guarantee for a device that had 14 different faults over 16 days. 10 days out of 16 days when we had no internet at all. A new bill arrived this week for a month of NBN service after the date of cancellation. The Telstra nightmare continues. I can now officially confirm that Telstra is the worst NBN provider in Australia. Absolutely shocked by Telstra's attitude!!
I have Telstra Foxtel and the $164 per month had me on a slippery slope... so I called them to downgrade my package... all was done and at the end of the billing cycle I would switch. Yesterday I realized that I had not received the new set top box and so I called them... no record of my first call... So I did it all again only this time I was going to check that it was the way I wanted... low and behold, the next day they had the order and were sending me the new box but they failed to downgrade my package, leaving the monthly charges the same... only thing was I was up for a fee of $150 for the box which I didn't need if I was staying on the same package. Now a cynical person would suspect that they do this on purpose, because everyone knows foxtel is on the nose and have lost a lot of ground to the competition. Determined to rectify this problem they have and my third attempt was looking scetchy until the point where I told the lovely young lady on the phone that I was considering taking my business elsewhere and that was the key.. I ended up keeping the platinum package and they reduced my monthly bill by $40. If you are with them and think it is a lot of money to have to pay for TV programs that have way too much advertising call them and be prepared to leave if they don't play ball but... they are so determined not to lose your business they can and will reduce your costs to keep you on board. Don't be afraid to walk away from companies who don't give the service you deserve and charge too much for it anyway . Even if you don't want to walk, a little threat can mean the difference. Three stars for the first two customer service people and Telstra... but five stars go to Jhoanna.. who went that extra mile to ensure that I would remain a customer of Telstra.
A good example of Brutalist Architecture in Brisbane. The Telstra light on top seems to be out of action otherwise I would have given it 4 stars. Still worth a look from King George Square.
I have not been with Telstra for 15 years and thought I would give them an other go. Bad idea 4 weeks later 9 hours on the phone and still no internet....looks like they haven't improved in 15 yearz
Recently ported my mobile to Telstra and I cannot access my account at all. I keep getting told each time to wait 48+ hours and the online chat is completely useless.
It was the biggest mistake to have two year contract with Telstra NBN Wifi for my house !!! Bad customer service !!!
