Nice and friendly stop for lunch by the river. Two dog friendly tables out front, but these aren't on the river side. Consider getting takeaways and sitting by the river if you want the view. Chicken bowl and steak sandwich were both very good. Our 10yo got chicken nuggets from the kids menu and it came with a delicious side salad. He wasn't happy but we were as it made for a much better quality lunch for a growing boy.
Great spot right in the water with Myall River outlook. The prawn dumplings were delicious as a starter and we both had their fish & chips. Wonderful, thin batter & definitely clean oil - other meals around us also looked great. Nice day out from Port Stephens & even had the luck to see a couple of dolphins. Beautiful setting, lovely service & very nice food, definitely worth the trip.
Enjoyed a lovely Mother’s Day brunch at the Boatshed. The view is beautiful and we saw dolphins from our table. Service was just okay. Whenever we needed something we had to flag someone down because after being seated, no one came to check on us. Since we were celebrating, I ordered my “fancy” drink—dirty chai tea—but I think I would have been happier with a flat white. However, my soba noodles were incredible! Delicious, fresh flavors. Highly recommend this dish.
What an amazing restaurant, wonderful staff offering wonderful service even when a king tide had diners sitting with water over their bare feet. What a fantastic experience dining at the Tea Gardens Boatshed especially with this unbelievable event happening. Worth a trip just to enjoy this incredible place, but to experience this high tide event was beyond belief, what a superb memory in this top restaurant, oh and the coffees are simply the best.
Great place for a delicious lunch with a lovely view over the water. The staff were lovely and friendly and they have gluten free options
We went as a group of 10 for lunch on a Saturday. They had plenty of vacant seating on the deck and out the front and we didn't have to book. There was table service inside and on the deck. Everything was good on the steak sandwich except that they used 'plastic' cheese. There was too much avo in a big chunk on the crab burger for one of us, but the chutney was really good and our teen son enjoyed his. There was not much papaya in the mango prawn papaya salad, but it was nice. The calamari tacos were 'so good' the 12 year old said, and it was very nicely presented. The turmeric latte was served with a pot and strainer and made on coconut milk. It was mild flavoured and you could really taste the coconut milk. The pork belly bao was lovely. The kimchi gave it a bit of heat. The 6 and 8 year old said they enjoyed the salad which came with the fish and chips as well. Eat in menu not available out the front - seperate takeaway menu which was not available or visible out the front. We were asked to wear a mask when not at the table inside on the alfresco deck. There was some art for sale on the deck wall and I liked that they used paper straws to be environmentally conscious.
Middle of the road eats with subpar service. Coffee was excellent while the pancakes left me disappointed. If you’re looking for a nice view with limited expectations on quality of food and service this is your spot.
Lovely place next to a river. The atmosphere is so peaceful and the staff are really friendly. Menu for breakfast had a great selection.
Spectacular water views…food is amazing…menu has wide variety of items…excellent customer service…recommended
Waterfront restaurant on the Myall River. Good service, extensive drinks menu & boutique food menu primarily seafood. Decor very rustic like a boatshed! Beautiful food!
