Bit of a mixed bag today, calamari and squid were top notch.  Fish and chips a little less so.  Family certainly enjoyed the food, so not a negative.  We spent about $80 across four adults and two children and no one went hungry!!!  We also attempted to stop in yesterday but a customer out the front said he had been waiting 40 minutes.  Perhaps try and be flexible for this one…

Absolutely recommend having a serve of fish and chips here. Decent serve and lovely. Not over cooked at all was perfect. Staff are great too. Sit outside at their tables or walk across the road and eat by the river.

Grab a quick bite while enjoying a view of the river across the road.  Quick service, plenty of options, and cooked to order. Portions were good for the price paid. Would recommend if you need something quick.

Ordered the fish and chips. Generous portion size. Fish was very good. Chips were average. Lots of condiments, but missing sauce cups. Enjoyable meal.

Ordered 6 fish cocktails and chips. Food is fresh and excellent quality. Was about a 20-minute wait. Paid $18. Very little chips. Not big enough serving for what money you pay.Food: 4/5

Awesome battered Whiting & chips….10/10…. Best fish n chips we’ve had in years…city slickers will be back for more     .

Wow wow wow! These fish and chips were amazing. The snapper was excellent. Very fresh. The barramundi which my wife had was also delicious. Highly recommend hook n cook.

Food is great, service was horrible! The front staff were rude talking wrong about customers whilst others were sitting in the shop, they were not polite and the lights were turned off whilst customers were still sitting in there, they shut for an hour for their breaks but before shutting they were eating hot chips before serving their customers out the front. Very disappointing, they should follow what their sign out the front says and be kind!

Absolutely delicious fish and chips. Best in the area. I have eaten there numerous times and it never disappoints.Food: 5/5
