Had the most incredible care today from Serena. I will recommend her to everyone. She took time to ensure I had all the information and felt empowered, she was gentle and listened to my concerns. I have a long history of fear and trauma with dental care and Serena was so compassionate I almost look forward to future appointments.
My 11 year old son had a rotten tooth removed and was unfortunately subjected to pain and torture at the hands of Dr Chris Taylor. As a first time appointment I've had to look up his name because there was no introduction of himself or his assistant when first meeting each other. I then told him what needed to be done. There was very little communication between Dr Taylor and my Son or myself during the procedure. While my Son was wincing in pain I asked if Dr Taylor could administer some pain relief before continuing. He said that's what he was doing. Without asking my Son if he could feel any sensation around the area being worked on he proceeded pulling out the rotten tooth. The anesthetic clearly hadn't had time to work. While clearly in pain my Son was told by Dr Taylor to breathe while his assistant tried to comfort him by rubbing his arm. I have never experienced such disregard for a patient's wellbeing and in such an unprofessional way. 100% better experience at Dental Delight on Molesworth Street.
I'm not usually the one to complain or write bad reviews, but this time is very different and I hope this review helps someone avoid what I went through. I was pregnant and needed an urgent root canal so I called around and found Taylor dental, after 5 long sessions, I was told the canal was "successfully done". only to find out by another dentist that one canal was not filled properly. I was going to crown the tooth and if that dentist had not checked the tooth I would have most likely had the tooth pulled out after some time. I called for a refund so that I could fix the tooth by another practice and they took more than a month to proceed with that, mind you, I was calling every now and then and felt like I was begging for my own money back. Once they finally did the refund it was a partial refund... I called back to ask why and they replied with it was for the anesthetic... and apparently, the anesthetic is not part of the treatment... I am so confused. This dental practice is not worth trusting especially if you are a person that is nervous about going to the dentist such as me.
Had a toothache. It was Friday. I left a message at around 4pm. Yes long shot but Taylor dental have. The best dentists by far and I gave been to a few. They called said they could help if I could get there in half hr. I could. My entire left face swollen nearing my eyes and throat. So infected meaning injections never work. But the young lady dentist. Did it! Was fully numb. Had to pull 3 teeth that day. Took an hour half. Very difficult procedure. This is the best dentist in new plymouth. By far. Always on your side not just to make money as you can leave with a great smile.. Cheap implants now here. For around 5k you can have 2 titanium bits drilled into the bone and your teeth they have already made will clip right on. Never a better solution. The more expensive option available too. I think that's 4 titanium bits for teeth to clip onto. Basically. If you need help with your teeth. Go here. No contest!
Very good and nice experience. I ve been painful for half year, and other dentist didn't fix the problem. DR Dennis solve the problem and not much pain during the treatment. Highly recommended.
Definitely one of the best Dental Practices in the Taranaki Region. He was easy to talk to, extremely professional, while still being warm and friendly. The building has plenty of parking, easy access, very tidy, clean, and comfortable waiting room. During the operation everything was explained clearly, and the dentist chair was comfy as a cloud. Whole thing went smoothly and there was no pain or discomfort. As for prices, they are very reasonable and flexible. Good value for money, would happily recommend to everyone I know. - Brendon
I have needed dental work twice this year and both times I chose Taylor Dental Practice. I have seen Dr Dennis and Dr Jessie and both were caring of my needs, highly professional and communication in relation to the procedure is first class ... all options and related costs discussed, questions answered ... no surprises! I highly recommend Taylor Dental Practice to anyone requiring a dentist - added bonus: fees aren't inflated and the practice is close to town with ample off-street parking.
Probably the worst experience I have had at the dentist. By his very rough treatment he created a problem which wasn't there before my visit and then charged me for fixing it! If I knew that is how he runs his practice, I wouldn't have gone back there. I am very unhappy. Needless to say, I wouldn't ever go there again and will not recommend this dentist to anyone
My daughter needed a cap on half of her front tooth, its perfect looks just the right size and shape. Would definitely recommend going here
Really rough treatment. Will never go back there, one root canal completely broken down and the other or tooth beside it is causing excruciating pain. SHOCKING!
