Incompetence at its finest. Patient left in a waiting room, rings bell to get some assistance and bag to vomit into. Patient gets nothing so next best thing is the sink. Nurse and Doctor both advise they are not impressed they didn't get a sample to test. Well next time get the required equipment when you've had adequate warning

I had a partial thyroid removal recently, I cannot thank the hospital enough. The surgeons, theatre staff, ward nurses, orderlies, the cleaners, the people who brought around the meals, the administration staff, l think that's covered the people l came into contact with. You were all so friendly and professional. Thankyou again you are all Champions

I just want to say thank you to postnatal & labor department. Nurse Justine,Karen ,Jo and student nurse  from Christchurch. They look after us with great care and advice. They are  prompt to response to calls. Especially I want say thank you Justine from postnatal department.  And couple nurses were very rude especially one came from Hawera to cover the shift .

My suggestion is that TDHB should revise/delete this statement from their site " Please be assured that making a complaint will not adversely affect the care that you receive, now or in the future", because is a blatant lie. As a result of a complaint2107 I was two times deliberately abused in TDHB ED/2020 and Radiology/2019. The investigation team/Clinical Governance Advisors was not in keen to take practical steps in order to reveal the thrue, but rather created another "eviedences"ex: completed my medical notes after i complained with the medications i did not taked to cover this. I have proposed a Poligraph Testlie detector to be used as a lack of other tools of investigationex surveillance cams/ED, but the denial is preferred instead the thrue. To be a patient in TDHB is UNSAFE, the Code of Practice is a mith.

Very pleased with experience in base hospital , staff are amazing performing well under pressure with what they have, treated me with dignity and respect . Every nurse and doctor made me feel like that, Thank you base Hospital!!!!

Taranaki Base Hospital crews! All of you are so awesome. Every single staff member I have met, you are so friendly, positive and displaying the sense of humour amidst a super busy schedule and dealing with sick patients. I dont know how you can do it. You are heroes. Thanks heaps!

The nurses and Healthcare Assistants are very short staffed which means the patient care is not as good as it should be. Communication between different health professionals and patients. The food is not good and even though patients fill out a form with what they would like to eat they very rarely get what they order. More staff and better pay would make it so much better.

Very rude grumpy lady working in front main reception at about 1.35pm, Friday 29 July. No manners and as he couldn't quite hear what I was saying due to "that thing" I was wearing over my mouth was very rude. I removed mask but still no smile or politeness followed. Need a lesson in Customer Service

I was in hospital  on the 13th May.  I had stay hospital for 24 hours. I want to thank  nurse who hold my hand in A&E department when 3 other people hoping to get blood out my arm. And having a MRI test. The nice nurses and doctors in ward 4b great people when you are not well at that time.Nice nurse who told me what the MRI test results was. Some people would have gone  crazy and get some upsetting with the news. I was not upset with the news a got from the MRI test result come with.. l think l can't do anything about it. So l am going to  get on with my life. And not going worry about what the results came back with .Thanks to the nurse and doctor who look after me on the 13th to14 of May of last month. God blessing to all.

I went to see my sister at maternity yesterday. Me and my partner were allowed in. So it was 4 people in the room including my sister and mum . I just went to go in there before and now there saying that only 2 people are allowed in. They need to make one rule n stick with it. Rude.
