Story

Redline Coaches (also known as Tasmania's Own Redline) is a coach transport company in Tasmania, Australia. The company is involved in both charter services and regular routes from Tasmania's three major cities - Burnie to Launceston and Launceston to Hobart, and in 1988 added an additional run, from Smithton to Burnie. In addition the coaches run from the state's major airports to the city centres.

A complete joke of a service and an absolute embarrassment to Tassie tourism. Firstly, if you want to have a copy of your ticket emailed to you (as you would expect when booking online) you have to select that option manually. Secondly, very uncomfortable coaches with hardly any leg room so anyone over 5 feet will be cramped. Thirdly, no consistency across the company as if you book a ticket on their airport service all you have to do is show a screenshot of your booking, yet all other services require you to provide a printed copy of your ticket which in this day and age is ridiculous.

Professional and helpful staff. My experience to and from the airport was flawless. They use an electronic booking system onboard so can check your booking and pick you up and drop you off at Hobart city hotels. Bus is air conditioned, clean and modern. Highly recommend this service.

Don't pre-book online! I pre-booked but those paying on the spot were given priority and I was told to take the next bus and wait for it to fill before we could go.. meanwhile people behind me in the queue kept loading and paying on the spot and got on the bus they would've let me get on

SCAM: STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. Booked to fro return hobart as we cant drive. No problem in drop near great western. Wanted to change my destination. Calling from yesterday. 50 minutes online. No one picking call. Online system shows pickup time is 4 pm though i am selecting 5 pm and doesnt show date. Have only few hrs left. Emailed as well yeaterday. No response
