Story

Redline Coaches (also known as Tasmania's Own Redline) is a coach transport company in Tasmania, Australia. The company is involved in both charter services and regular routes from Tasmania's three major cities - Burnie to Launceston and Launceston to Hobart, and in 1988 added an additional run, from Smithton to Burnie. In addition the coaches run from the state's major airports to the city centres.

Poorly organised bus to Launceston. The man at the desk was the only unkind person I’ve met in Tasmania so far. Incredibly unhelpful when we arrived to enquire at midday and he said all busses were fully booked which I understand there is not much you can do about, eventually said we could be on the waitlist if we came back at 2. When we came back he had already started the list with people who arrived that afternoon, one lady who was there before us that morning and took her details for the waitlist at the time somehow ended up even after us on the list.nMost frustratingly, as we were waiting for the bus to board there were about 8 people on the list I saw him turn away several other people. One girl who could barely speak English he was insistent there wasn’t a space for her and I don’t think even took her details.nAlmost everyone on the waitlist actually got on the bus in the end including us, which we were very relieved about. However the girl who didn’t speak English didn’t get a seat, and there were still about 4 or 5 empty seats on the bus for this journey. Incredibly disappointing to see people being treated like this.
The team are always friendly and there is plenty of seating just don't turn up to early as not much there besides chairs and a vending machine, oh and a couple of facilities if you need it before your bus trip.
It's always been staffed by lovely ppl happy to answeand our questions. It seems to run pretty efficiently. I would recommend calling ahead to book your ticket as it can sometimes be very busy and you may not get on if you don't.
Staff is really nice and extremely helpful. Customer service is 7 star ! Centre has washroom facility, so you can get easy before your journey.
Easy parking out front or other side the road. In and out 3 in minutes with lots of baggage .
