Went tdy first time. Service at Moorabbin way better. They actually put the purchased items in the bag i provide. The woman serving tdy thought it was Aldi, just left it all piling up. Actually created a bottle neck. Poorly service.nnIll stick to Moorabbin, better services.

I was planning on making burgers and have been watching cooking shows where chefs use chuck, brisket and short rib and they always tell you to ask your butcher as they should do it for you.nnSo I went in and asked if they could just mince some chuck and brisket. I've been In retail so I know to always be friendly and polite. I was met by the rudest and condescending staff. First the defiant old lady who I asked. She looked at me like I was an idiot and was so resistant to the idea. Then she went and asked the butche. He made hand motion of pretty much telling me to f off. I know it's intention I'm that European and so was guy. I'm not dumb. As soon as I saw that I turned waved and left. I was seething.nnI later drove to Springvale, chose my meat, paid and it was minced in 5 minutes. A lot cheaper per kilo also.nnI will never set foot at any Tasman butchers
Been buying meats from Tasman for a while now. Generally the cuts are good and the value is good. The selection of other meats are decent and never had an issue there. I felt compelled to write a review after a particular incident with pre made beef burger patties. Usually I make these myself using lean mince etc but decided to be lazy and buy some.nnI was absolutely blown away by how much oil can fit inside a patty, and how they can quite literally shrink before your eyes. Insanely oily, bent a spatula extracting as much as I could and still was overwhelmed with oil. They then shrunk to 1/3rd their original size requiring two patties per small brioche bun. Maybe fix that recipe up, probably won’t buy pre-prepared patties like that ever again.nnService was good and with a smile otherwise.
We have been customers of Tasman for many years and even buy our meat for salami there but lately the quality of the meat seems not quite the same. At Christmas we ordered butterfly lamb and it came in small pieces and I have photos not to good when your feeding about 20 but the others meat was fine. Bought a tray this week of the small chicken $11.99 while great value the chickens were full of feathers and the fine hairs after I had to burn as there were so many. Again Tasman has been great but m8ght need to check with their suppliers.
