Second time here, ordered egg noodle soup with crispy skin chicken. Did not disappoint. In fact the best I have had in Sydney. Had to wait in line for few minutes which is absolutely fine. The lady serving was super nice and friendly. What are you waiting for?
Crispiest and thinnest chicken skin you’ll ever have! Quick service, short wait and delicious Vietnamese food. I actually grew up eating this from their OG store in Cabramatta which always has a line out the door! Glad we didn’t have to wait too long for a table here. Tan Viet Noodle House in Darling Square is the place to go for one of the best crispy chicken instead of traveling to Cabramatta. The crispiest skin together with the succulent chicken and pair it with choice of noodles or rice to go with making it an awesome meal. They also do served other Vietnamese & Cantonese flavor dishes too. No frills, small most important you are assured of a good meal.
Crispiest crispy chicken and great pork chops with tomato rice at this conveniently located restaurant in darling square. Also tried a egg noodle dish which was really good - good flavours with large pieces of chives. They also give you bone broth soups which tasted amazing, plus unlimited hot tea. Service was friendly, would go back!
Tan Viet is that rare Vietnamese restaurant where pho is not the focus. Instead, it's all about the crispy skin chicken here. The chicken is juicy and tender, the skin golden brown and appropriately crispy. A must-order. There are various carb options to accompany the chicken, we had the chewy in a good way tapioca noodles dry-style which came with a bowl of soup. The goat curry is also pretty good; it has a thin, broth-like consistency as it doesn't have thickeners like coconut milk or yogurt. Generous serve of meat on the bone. Service was very efficient, the food hitting our table not long after we ordered. A simple, tasty and satisfying feed.
Don't come here with the same expectation for Cabramatta as this branch still has some room for improvement. Service is obviously slower though staff are attentive and trying to do their best. Our fried chicken was over-fried so the meat was a little dry but still acceptable overall.
Very busy place for Vietnamese food in the weekend. Love their special beef noodle & pork chop with rice. It might takes a while for the food being served. The staff are attentive
Awesome to see a restaurant which started in the West maintain its standard in the Sydney CBD. Even though prices were a bit more it was still worth it. Chicken was cooked to perfection. Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.
I thoroughly enjoyed the meal here. Crispy chicken a must order. The pho is generously sized and herbal tasting, didn't mind it. Vietnamese Iced coffee lacked oomph, do not order, pretty tasteless
Delicious rare beef pho! The tripe we didnt not like, was weird and rubbery. If i eat here again i would replace it. But the soup was very tasty as well as the noodles. We ordered a crispy chicken to share and it was amazing. Crispy even after sitting out for a long time, juicy inside. The ice white coffee is very sweet but nice nevertheless. Nice place! Huge portions.
