Went for dinner tonight. Place was difficult to find as the terrace was pitch black and the sign was hard to see. Entered the place and was instantly blinded by cold fluorescent lighting, also figured heating might not be in their budget. Stood inside door and tried to catch the attention of a passing waiter, ignored, figured he might be new to the game, notice the restaurant is empty save for three other tables. Approached the bar and indicated that we had a reservation, waitress looked at us and asked "to eat?" - never had that happen ebfore - I reply "yes", trying to not sound snarky with every fibre of my being. Seated and had our orders taken by a friendly waitress, waitress casually mentions that it's a freezing night and that she has to go onto the terrace to warm up. I get backhanded by the irony. Ordered a plate of dips + Lebanese bread, Moroccan prawns + tagine "royale" - or tagine with the lot sausages, beef cheeks, lamb shank, quarter chicken, cous cous and vegetables. Moroccan prawns with Turkish bread. Bread was nice and crispy, few frozen packed prawns was swimming in oil but very flavourful. Not worth the $16 asking price but the sauce was fantastic. Dips was served with Lebanese bread - in a plastic sandwich zip-loc bag - the Goliath brand, from Aldi. We take the bread out of the sandwich bag and place it next to the dips so the waiter didn't have to. Gold star for us. Tagine royale arrived shortly after. It was colourful and smelt amazing. Partner comments that the dish looks like dog food. I found the yellow tagine pleasing. The various meats were falling-off-the-bone tender, but the whole dish lacked salt. There was enough moisture so the cous cous wasn't dry - big points. The vegetables were straight from a frozen pack and was mushy. $48. Left feeling very full but somewhat disappointed. Can't say for the authenticity but as far as well made food is concerned, it was merely ok.
Moroccan kitchen, Amazing delicious real food with an outstanding 5 star services. Try the Moroccan Lamb shank dish also try the hot chilli dips before.. Very friendly people there.. Well done guys... Very highly recommended... The best in Bankstown...
Welcomed in right away, staff friendly,it was my first time dining here and possibly the last, entree was beautiful; prawns were succulent and the sauce was to die for, i was so excited about my main to come; however, very disappointed in our main meals, what is written on the menu is NOT what you get, i ordered the rib eye, that was supposed to be on a bed of roasted garlic & potato mash, with wilted greens, roasted tomato, surrounded by veal jus- what i actually got was steak with chips and salad- none of the staff had even bothered to tell us that athere was no mash prepped, and b then told us the chef was new, i then suggested the chef should read the menu,I was then told that veal jus is what comes out of then meat when you cook it, and the steak is juicy, so thats the sauce, they did however offer to make the jus after they realised what it actually was, but it was too late by then, if i wanted steak with chips and salad i would of gone to the pub and paid $10 instead of $28. I might sound picky, but if you are after something in particular or something that is on the menu, thats what you should get, the manager did apologise, but offered nothing else, coming from a restaurant background, i was quite shocked. I could go on, but at this point, i am actually tired lol. All the best.
The food is delicious. The haloumi, chilli mince and lamb shank tajine were the highlight for me. The wait staff seems like they are new to the game but nevertheless were friendly.
Food was delicious and friendly service. The complimentary Moroccan tea to finish the meal was a nice touch.

Fantastic atmosphere and a great place to chat over coffee / dessert.
What a stupid attitude. They have no take away service. Such a funny system. Very very rude attitude. Not going anymore
Bad food. Overpriced too
