Indian friends I dined with wanted to give only 1 star for their food. Chai might have been authentic, but ginger was strong & I felt like drinking my grandma's herbal medicine. I asked if I could add chicken to their vegetarian curry, but I was told I needed to order both chicken curry & vegetable curry. They also didn't look happy to see us, though the place was empty. I learned mild version of Karachi Chicken tastes like Japanese spaghetti meat sauce, which was disappointing when I wanted curry, but it was my fault to choose mild. Parking: Only 1-hour paid street parking in front of the restaurant, but enough free street parking on 1 street over that runs pararell to Pico.
We, three people went there for dinner last night. It was around 8.30 PM. Restaurant was empty. I asked the owner Lady why it is empty? . The lady got agitated and told us get out from my place. It was a terrible experience. Lady has an attitude problem. I wonder why the restaurant was empty. It was because of this lady owner attitude . We went there to eat and give business but the experience was bad. we did not got badmouth with her and exited right away. I suggest people to avoid this place. We went to another restaurant 7 minutes away from this restaurant on La Cienega Blvd. and were served with great hospitality.
Food tastes good, is the best option for to go, the salon furniture and design is too old and may not meet your expectations as a dine in restaurant if you care to eat in a fancy place with modern furniture and design. They serve the stew in special plate to keep it hot.
Worst food ever I had..Yellow Daal looked frozen and microwaved & paneer curry’s color is still on my fingers.. even after the whole day.. food was tasteless. Wish I could give a zero star. Not even worth 1.
Food is tasty, well cooked. No complimentary rice with any entree. No disposable cutlery it plates included. No salad.
This is our new go to Indian spot. We ordered malai kofta and dal tadka and both were amazing. The spice levels were perfect, the curries were super flavorful, and the dal was super smooth. The naan is fluffy and each curry came with rice which is a huge plus. We were super impressed with the quality of the food and it’s so affordable. They’re also super nice here, so we can’t wait to order again.
The restrooms are locked for people who pickup orders...I asked do you staff not use the restroom and they proceed with telling me it's locked again. What type of business doesn't provide restrooms for customers/delivery drivers? Ridiculous..
I'm sad. This place became my go-to in LA for Indian Food, having tried a lot. The food from here has always been delicious and delivered on -time, and even early. So, why am I sad? The last couple of times they have forgotten a dish. On the face of it, no big deal, it happens. I don't rag on restaurants for that. My issue is the abhorrent rudeness of the owner/operator when I reported a missing dish via phone the first time I just got a refund via GrubHub. Accusatory tone, almost shouting. Point blanked refused to re-deliver the missing item stating they were too busy. Mind blowing rudeness. Couldn't believe it. Needless to say that was my last order.
Some of the best Indian food I’ve had in LA! We got the Chicken Rezala, Saag Paneer, garlic naan and a few samosas. The saag was prepared a little differently than I’m used to but I really enjoyed it. Generous portions with free rice!! the right level of spiciness, good service and reasonably priced.
Really bad odour when you step in to the restaurant felt like vomiting so decided to take Togo instead of dining...Ordered two veggie curries and samosas, curries are okay not great parathas are uncooked and samosas came with one litre of oil in it. Not recommended at all...Better of eating at home with white rice and pickle..
