We booked a party of 12 plus two kids for a set menu. Entree and starters were great but that is where it ended. Half the party booked steak and were told it only came as “medium rare” which did not suit most of us. Our waitress -- who really did not want to be there — said she would ask the chef if medium or medium to well done was possible but never returned with a reply. When the steaks did arrive they were well presented but my wifes wasn’t fit for eating. It was a hunk of gristle, and when I asked her to show the chef the completely untouched steak she said it was a butcher problem. I’m pretty sure not one steak meal was fully eaten which should have been an indication things were not all good. The deserts which we took home were nice. Now the account was up in the high hundreds and I’m afraid they will not be getting any return business out of our party. Very disappointed. This is the first time I have ever written a negative review and that is how strong I felt about the service and food.

Amazing experience! Ryan and Amy really go out of their way to make sure everything to do with your dining experience is perfect. Fantastic wine pairing. Ryans Caramilk Cheesecake dessert special is to die for. Overall the best restaurant in Palmerston North. Thanks Table 188! xx
