Came on a busy Monday night with a long line and 30 minute wait. Food took longer than usual to come out. Had a Salmon Ikura Don which was pretty decent. Ordered Salmon carpaccio but it came out as salmon nigiri. Told the wait staff who took the whole plate back. Chef seemed preoccupied so it took another 15 minutes just to receive the salmon sushi back to be salmon aburi, not the dish we ordered. After 5 minutes the chef saw something was off and replaced our salmon aburi with a fresh plate of the salmon carpaccio we ordered which was good. Sushi was decent. Had the crème brûlée for dessert as I heard it was good but was left quite disappointed. The top was soft, didn’t have that crispy sugar layer. The crème itself was curdled and lumpy, not smooth at all. Tasted alright but the texture just threw us off.nnWas definitely understaffed this night, saw tension between kitchen and FOH staff, with people confused, running around and messing up orders. Usually quality and service is much better.nnOverall, would still give this place another try, hopefully it was just a one off night where it was just more busy than usual.
I've been searching for proper sushi places in Perth, but most are either just takeaway or super fancy, nothing in between. I finally found a spot that serves real sushi mentai or bombs, which are so hard to find here.nnIt wasn't exactly cheap. I spent $40 just for myself, but it was totally worth it. Great quality and super fast service.nnPlease don’t take the Chef’s Special off the menu, it’s amazing! The crème brûlée was surprisingly delicious too
I have gone to this place twice on a Sat evening and it was busy both times. I think we waited in a queue for at least 15 min both times. In general, the food was good.nnThe dishes we got from the sushi train were about 4.50 to 5 I think.nnWe also got Teriyaki Chicken about 15 dollars, Waygu Beef Don, Chicken Ramen about 19 each for these two, Salmon and Scallop Aburi about 10 and Takoyaki about 9
Sushi Wawa is one of my favourite sushi places. The Volcano Roll and Salmon Aburi & Prawn Roll were absolutely delicious. Very fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Service was quick, even though it was during busy lunchtime. Highly recommended for anyone looking for fresh and tasty sushi. Will definitely be back.
Good quality sashimi and sushi, though wouldn’t recommend the tuna or anything with cheese in it. Tasty udon and tempura. Agedashi tofu was missing the usual texture so wasn’t that good. A little bit of a wait at 7:15pm on a Wednesday but not too bad. Prices weren’t cheap but expected. One of the better sushi trains in Perth, though their made-to-order food is definitely better.
