I was really really looking forward to genuine Japanese tempura alas, what we got was a shadow of the actual food. Super greasy that it left a puddle of fat underneath the bowl it came in. Thick batter... like super thick. I ended up peeling it off as the fat was making me feel ill. Upside was the spicy chicken kaarage was delicious. Also ordered rice bowls with teriyaki chicken and chicken katsu... both were pretty average for the price charged. If you want a good Japanese meal, dont go here.
Service was friendly and quick. Food was nice, delicious. Would come here again for lunch using work. Close by to workplace which is convenient as well.Food: 5/5
I have been here 3 times, and every time, i left somewhat disappointed. I like to give second chances incase it's an off day, but 3x is a definite not good. I ordered some of the most expensive plates on the menu, and they were ordinary, even missing the caviar on top apparently, it's just decoration for the photo. The other plates were a wonder. For example; I was left looking for the crab in my soft shell crab, crunshy, but all batter and very oily. The miso hardly had any flavour, it was as if diluted. The floor was very dirty with lots crumbs & sticky. Table was a bit sticky too, accompanied by little flies. It's not bad food, but it's overpriced for what you get and lacking. The sticky, dirty floors, though, are the biggest turnoff.
Ordered three donburi. Chashu and unagi. Food was very fresh and chashu were really nice. I think the service could improve a little. Overall fine experience
Sushi Roll is conveniently in Top Ryde Shopping Centre on ground level. It is in the piazza. The food is quite good and are in large portions. However, even with the amount of food, it is quite expensive. Water also costs money.
We each had a Bento Box and the sushi train, it was so delicious and fresh. The service is fast and very friendly and polite. The restaurant is clean and tidy, lovely place to eat. Will be coming back here soon as I'm local.
Good variety of dishes, easy food ordering system, friendly and quick service. It can get busy because it is quite popular but there is plenty of seating. Prices are reasonable and on par with most other good sushi train restaurants.Food: 5/5
Great service and accommodating by friendly professional staff. Food came out hot and fresh as we were seated at the dining table rather than those along the food train. Prices are decent and everyone left happy and full. Thank you to the staff for accommodating our pram and our young child. Highly recommended!
The food here is pretty good, but they make you order on these tablets. Which would be fine, except that a lot of the times they lag and do not work. I once had to have them swap it 3 times before I finally managed to place the order. I don't see why it's so hard to say "can I please have X, takeaway".Food: 4/5
The staff were very impolite. I had a broken chair and gave it to the staff to remove it for any future accidents. However, when I handed the chair over, they took the chair and shoved it into another table. Shows very bad staff behaviour. Moreover, food was overpriced e.g. Udon for $30. The seats had food scraps making it sticky and oily and the tables outside were wet from previous rain so I recommend not to sit outside. The entree did not seem fresh and tasted like it was pre-packaged and microwaved.
