I am totally disgusted with the lack of care for human life. I called Police at Surfers Paradise Station Saturday 5th asking if they would do a welfare check. I hadn't heard from my Son for nearly 3 weeks, I called again Sunday morning 11 am, begging for them to go check on him he only lives just 2 minutes from the police station, I also pleaded to them to call me as soon as they go there to let me know. Job No.10 for the day, which kept slipping further and further down their list. I was getting frantic with worry. Such Non Caring cops While I'm going out of my mind with worry, they couldn't make a 2 minute trip to do a WELFARE check on someone's life. I called them again at 6 am Monday morning after another sleepless night, not that they care apparently they did eventually get there, but DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO LET ME KNOW. If they had of let me know they found him I may have at least got a bit of rest. I've always had respect for the police but.... I am hoping they aren't all like the ones I had to deal with.
The number of people I saw thrown to the ground by the surfers paradise police within just one hour was appalling. When we profess that one punch can kill I don't think throwing people to the ground is reasonable force. The cowards also needed 4 police members to do me for "disturbing the peace" ie talking to people in a civil manner on the footpath without aggression or obstruction of business. I will be making a formal complaint.
Absolutely appalling response from the police here . Our apartment was broken into and iPads , my car key, sunglasses and other personal items were stolen. The police did little to nothing. We were able to track the iPad for 5 hours to an actual address where they still failed to do anything. They promised they would keep us updated and we never heard back after the morning of the robbery. Disgusted in the lack of effort these officers displayed. So glad Victorian police aren’t like this, so lucky to live in VIC. If you’re ever after help, do not waste your breath. You’ll end up as disappointed as we are.
Thank you to Gold Coast Police for giving me a free night accomodation in the cells. But please next to time before you arrest me from Subway let me eat my subway in Peace . Also the Air condition in the Dog Cage Ute was too cold. People are not animals!
Got my bag lost at the last minute to the airport at the g: link light rail. Report the case and got a responsible officer to help us and also all the officers whom gone out and look for my lost property. Efficiency and kindhearted. Thank you so much. Even though the important documents were retrieved, the technology devices are still in lost. Hope there’s a further investigation going on to get that filthy and uneducated person out. Again I’m really appreciate those officers whom work behind the case.
My wife's phone was lost on the beach. Thank you so much to the person. who took pain to give it to the police station. Once we realised phone is missing I called on my wife's phone and lady in the police station promptly replied informing us phone is with police at police station. Went to police station, she just asked me unlock the phone by drawing pattern, and gave it back to me, that was super easy. No identification questions and process around it. Thank you so much police. really appreciate it.
Myself and my wife were assulted by a drunken thug at our own hotel pool with our children present. We were both hospitalised. The surfers police took an hour to attend and then spent 2 days trying to convince us not to make a statement. When we finally attended the station to sign our statements we were bullied by the sergeant who eventually threw the typed statements to us and said “sign it and leave” Horrible lazy policing.
Parked outside to run in and get my licence that was handed in. Came out and was sent a fine. Get a life, seriously. It was 1 minute.
I felt reassured and supported when I contacted Surfers police station with regard to seeking advice about a situation.
