I second everything that Emanuel Polichronis mentioned. They wanted to do the same to me. Total non compliance for everything. At least you you had it good that something was built. They did exactly the same to me except I was quick enough to stop their dodgy tricks. Leopards never change their spots. Once you see one, you can pick them from afar. This mob just left me empty handed after they took $18k in total and all they gave me were cheap flimsy galvanised c-channels which were meant to be a wooden deck. Dismantled my deck when I was to attend my father’s funeral and created a Health and Safety problem for me. I had to take them to QCAT over a period of 2 years. Lesson learnt.....always to check the contractors for bad records before you use them. From another one engineer’s point of view. This guys are just total tools. STAY AWAY FROM THEM WITH A 10 ft POLE.

Don't use this company, I got them to build a deck. They delivered galvanised steel stringers that had been chipped and were rusting. They did replace them with better ones after I complained. They built a stairs that did not comply with the construction code, the stairs was dangerous and could of caused injury, so I made them rectify the stairs to comply. The builder who may have been a subby was very rude and cheeky, tried to get away with fixing a downpipe improperly, told me to go to Bunnings and do it myself. The major support for the deck joists was not fixed properly to the house, poor workmanship and it was not structurally adequate, made builder get his own engineer to rectify the non compliance. Drawings provided for deck were very generic and not specific to the job, very poor fixing details. One of the columns for the stair balustrade at the bottom of the stairs was poorly constructed and was wobbling, I virtually had to grab the builder by the neck to get things rectified. Finally the builder made a huge oversight when building the stairs too close to the wall of the house without allowing for the existing downpipe, then the builder wanted to run the downpipe on top of the stair balustading across the wall of the house, this would of been unsightly and ugly. In the end I had to get QBCC involved to fix a defect (water leaking into to the house due to improper rectification of roof gutter due to downpipe oversight), the issue with QBCC was finally resolved in my favour. Don't use this company, they try every shortcut and when things go wrong they are horrible to deal with. I can see why they are cheap. Yours truthfully Civil Engineer.

To whom it may concern about Sunstate construction, I had my carport built on the 9th June 2016 in Corinda and i'm very happy and satisfied with the job done by Brandon from Sunstate. The job was very professional and detailed. Also the price was reasonable.

Fantastic project from start to finish. I would like to thank the sales team from Aaron to the admin staff and the boys who constructed the patio and carport. 10 out of 10 Sunstate.
