Looking forward to visiting again and the new terminal to be developed looks brilliant on their website: brand new look, double size, more food and beverage. Currently there’re only 2 security screening lanes and one of them didn’t work when I was in a long queue for my flight. Better to rent a car in Sunny Coast because the bus routes are quite confusing and not frequent.
What a joke of an airport. I’ve lived on the Sunshine Coast for 25+ years. Used the airport on many occasions, but today takes the cake. The flight was only half full, corralled into the baggage area, the photo shows absolute lack of facilities. Wish I could have shown the toilet situation. A plane load of people, crammed into a tiny space waiting for bags, the gentleman’s toilet is one urinal and one toilet, the ladies two toilets. I know there are other toilet facilities in the building but once you leave the baggage area you can’t get back??? How ANYONE could ever deceive themselves enough to state that this is an international airport is totally beyond reckoning!!!!! About time, that at the expense of local residents, this airport picks up its game BIG TIME……. I remember the mayor stating if we build it they will come……..lol Visitors would come ONCE and never again. Shame on the council and shame on the airport management for allowing such a poor facility to be a representation of our beautiful Sunshine Coast!!!
The Sunshine Coast is without doubt one of the most iconic areas, boasting beautiful beaches and scenic national parks. From Maroochydore airport through to the fabulous Noosa Heads there are many places to visit or stay for a holiday with each one having its own special aura. Packed with plenty of things to do like surfing, fishing, bush walking or just relaxing, a trip to the Sunshine Coast will never disappoint. Colino1861 highly recommended
Great airport to spend a few hours waiting at. Had a two hour delay due to Melbourne wait times, fairly expensive, but everything to get you through. Would have been better though if there was a TV with live sports though, had to hook up to a few PowerPoint's and stream the cricket.
Customer Service is all good. Big lounge area, nice coffee shop and friendly staff there so I just enjoyed my trip to Sunshine Coast
Only 1 screening line open with 300 passengers over 3 flights queued over 150 mtrs. No places to repack after pulling apart your luggage. Wouldn't normally fly out of SC but the hwy was cut to Brisbane. Departure lounge looks tired, dark & dingy with stained carpet & bar not open at 10am. No air ramps so you have to climb stairs to the aircraft & if you are disabled its alot of palava for the ground crew. You can't see where Sunshine Coast Council spent over $330million nor can I see them making it back to save the poor ratepayers but they are trying with the high prices of the food & beverage and credit card surcharge is not in the pricing. A revamp was coming with a 170million loan from the federal government but we have changed government. If you want to experience what air travel was like in the 1980's then come have a look. If you want a well serviced, modern airport that has cheaper flights then just 1 hour south is Brisbane. Fix it Jameson.
It was absolutely amazing!! A beautiful place - gorgeous beaches, restaurants, shops! A wonderful experience!
Wow, airport was so busy. Line ups for everything. Lucky to get a table to eat the food. Food arrived quickly but tables were not cleaned. Parking was nearly non existent. Cars trying to get out of queues for parking. Very hectic airport
Lovely staff. Neat clean and tidy. One of the best smaller airports I’ve been to. The only negative i have is the lack of taxis, which is not their fault.
The airport has adequate parking. The staff were OK, with a few shops and cafes open at 6am. Toilets were clean, though the tables in the food area needed some attention. The waiting area was large enough at this time.
