Awesome and authentic HK food at very good prices. Serving sizes are generous. The menus is quite big so there is something for everyone and food comes out quickly. Service could improve a little bit but it is reminiscent of the service you would get in Hong Kong
Great Chinese food and variety and reasonable priced. This place is my little guilty pleasure for Chinese good especially salt n pepper soft shell crab which is just addictive. Not the most glamorous dinning experience but the food makes up for it well and truly. Definitely worth checking out and trying a variety of dishes if you can finish the portions as they are very decent.
@sunnybankoriental.bne is a Hong Kong style restaurant is located in the Sunnybank Plaza and it’s an absolute gem! I have walked past this restaurant so many times but never got the chance to try it out until this time and I gotta say, I’ve been missing out I realised Google maps didn’t show the location correctly - it’s located where the CBA ATM is The restaurant is quite spacious and got a lot of seating, so if you have a bigger group don’t worry, you’ll be fine! And remember, Chinese food is always best shared The menu is HUGE! So many options to choose from! Here’s what we got : • Peanut butter toast • Chicken w Chinese wine • Yummy pork ribs in clay pot • Preserved egg congee • Dry stir-fry beef ho-fun • Oriental Char kway tiew • Bread sticks • Salt and pepper quail • Salt and pepper calamari • Marinated duck • Water spinach w oyster sauce Not all these dishes are pictured but you can see how good everything was! We loved the food. The flavours were great and the portion size for the price was very good!
SUNNYBANK ORIENTAL @sunnybankoriental.bne Location: 358 Mains Rd, Sunnybank QLD 4109 Rating: 4/5 ‼looking for delicious, flavorful cheap eats in Sunnybank? you must try @sunnybankoriental.bne our feast filled our table to the max oh my- we got not listing all or it would be an essay: preserved egg & pork congee marinated duck chinese wine chicken claypot yummy pork ribs claypot peanut butter toast salt & pepper calamari salt & pepper quail lemon ribena and lemon tea my favs were: the congee omg, such a comfort food, i haven’t had preserved egg in a while and was a little scared i wouldn’t like the taste but it wasn’t overwhelming as i thought it would be! so so delicious, i will go back just for this congee dipping the deep fried bread sticks in this was another level- the chinese wine chicken was so flavorful and tender, i was very surprised how soft the chicken was, all soaked up in the delicious sauce, incredible the peanut butter toast oh my- i mean the visuals lookjust layer upon layer, beautiful, i do recommend eating this last though since it will fill you up quickly! i wasn’t expecting the calamari to look like that, but it was so goodperfectly seasoned and deep fried, wasn’t as oily as it looks which was amazing! a lovely dish to accompany everything else okay the drinks were HUGE oh my, you truly get your money’s worth, my lemon ribena was such a nostalgic drink! overall, i really recommend @sunnybankoriental.bne a long time restaurant at the plaza, definitely underrated for their delicious cheap eats!
Used to go here but disappointed this time. Mediocre. Bland. Need the extra chilli sauce and/or/with soy sauce to make it tastier. Good portions though. Bit expensive for around Sunnybank. Don't ask for chillies as they charge extra. There are better ones out there in this area. Unfortunately won't come back.Food: 3/5
We really love to go there with the 2 dishes special meal which Including two bowls of soup and rice. Extra one dollar for the fried garlic vegetables. You can choose 2 dishes from the wide range of option. All the seafood like Pipi, softshell crabs or calamari are my favourite. Besides, their tea time special is from 5-6pm. The early bird dinner including a drink as well. Highly recommended. Never make me disappointed.
I got the steamed fish meal, asked what type of fish, snapper, never tried it before so I ordered it, personally prefer silver perch so I didn’t enjoy it. The hainan chicken was good though. The food 8/10, the service 0/10 it was basically non existent, the staff brought the bill and eftpos machine to us mid meal and to communicate whether the food was at the right table or not they would yell across the room if it was the right table or not, and then say nothing after putting the plates or containers down.
Not very Pricy and a lot of choice of Hong Kong cuisine in the menu, however the restaurant do need to have some deep cleaning as the floor is very oily and slippery.

Came here for breakfast to try it out. It's a cheap option for Asian style Breakfast. The food comes out fairly quick and it's a no frills kind of affair. Congee was nice, tad bland for my liking but it's cooked to a good consistency. The plain ricen noodles are very average... If probably pass on them in future if i came back. Beef brisket was actually a highlight, very tender, full of flavor and a big portion size. Honestly not sure whether if I would be back for the breakfast
