The Service is a not-for-profit organisation that provides legal information, advice and referrals to residents of the Sunshine Coast region.

Story

The Suncoast Community Legal Service Inc main office and law clinic is based in Maroochydore, Queensland and offers quality legal advice, referral information and education free-of-charge to the greater Sunshine Coast community. There are also a number of outreach services across the Sunshine Coast for the community to access a service close to them.

Services are delivered by volunteer lawyers from the local legal profession, working in conjunction with volunteer receptionists and a small team of paid staff.

Suncoast Community Legal Service is aligned with community legal services across Queensland and around Australia and is accredited by the National Association of Community Legal Services.

Mission

Under the guidance of a strong volunteer committee of management, the Service’s firm focus has remained the provision of advice, referral and education through its enthusiastic and sizeable group of volunteer lawyers and receptionists. Emphasis has been placed on making these services available to population centres throughout the Sunshine Coast.
