Since the introduction of new timetables the service has improved a lot and the drivers should to be paid a fair wage which they rightfully deserve. They are doing truly great job considering a wide variety of ungrateful perfectionists they meet every day. Anyone who complains should try driving bus in Cairns for a week!

I'm only giving Sunbus 1 star because this system won't let me give it 0 stars.
I can no longer rely on sunbus to get to and from work, guess i will be riding a bike from now on.
If you work and rely on buses to get to and from your workplace reliably, then my advice is to just start looking for alternative transport now unless you make sure you're at stops up to 15 minutes before their scheduled departure time. 
 Because more often than not the drivers will just come and go upto 15mins before before the "Journey Planner" says you should even leave your house and begin walking to the bus stop.
It is the worst for workers who have employment in town at night.  
The last bus for the night should NEVER leave before their departure time yet, they almost always do.
Which brings me to the ridiculous cutoff times for night services.
If you are a hospitality worker you will not be able to use buses unless you finish very early in the evening, which many hospitality workers don't.

$44 for a weekly bus pass for an adult? Hourly services? haha C'mon Cairns you can do better than that! More expensive than Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane transport.

TERRIBLE. I DO NOT USE. Possibly the WORST transport company in existence. Drivers are rude, abusive, scruffy...buses NEVER arrives on time. Infrastructure (buses and bus stops)  is usually broken, out of date, vandalised or just not there. Timetable and routes are confusing and illogical. Almost impossible for non-native English speakers to understand. 
Strange system whereby passengers have to inform driver of destination BEFORE they can board and purchase tickets.
Customer service is non existent.

First time my daughter has caught the bus to school,timetable said 7:54am from Botanical Gardens Edge Hill ! It drove past her 5 minutes early! Well done ! Seriously so your job properly
