Sunbury central is a weird, confusing, disjointed and very impractical shopping "centre". As visitors we thought there would be a range of shops with toilets available as per a "normal" shopping centre. Unfortunately it's basically a decent size under cover carpark with rooftop parking as well. A complex series of zig zag rampways give access to the End of Line Sunbury Railway Station. Really it is just a car park with a stand alone Woolworths/BWS and Caltex service station at one end and a Big W at the other. No other shops nearby if you want to do a general shop, go to the Loo, have a snack or a meal etc. The main, actual "shopping centre", where you can can do all you need under cover in one complex is nearby, on the other side of the tracks at Sunbury Square. As a visitor to Sunbury, not a resident, this whole area around the railway terminus looks like a missed opportunity and extremely badly designed as the commercial focus of a town being split like this with no easy access from one side to the other. A real mish mash of commercial properties with a very obvious lack of forward planning when initial development took place.
Found myself with hours to kill on a Sunday so headed to the shopping centre to browse around. 20 minutes later I'd seen it all. Probably great for the local inhabitants but from a sizeable metro Westfield. Food court wasn't enticing so went to the pub for lunch. Lastly, beware the lady in the sweet shop who's always on the defensive...
Convenient local shopping centre. Limited number of shops. Only one major retailer Coles. Food court gets quite warm because of huge skylight. Very clean .
They have closed my favourite chicken shop and heard my frozen drink shops going soon as well. I know they are trying to upgrade everything. But still sad seeing these place go
Great place for food and has many small retail shops for you to shop at, only star down is that to pull into the main car park, the door that leads to the main car park comes straight out into the on coming traffic, so at times you are waiting on the main road 10 cars as everyone has to stop and give way to the people crossing, needs a better car park entry set up and then would be 5 stars all round.
Sunbury square is ok..need more shop's..not much hear..need Kmart ad JB so we don't have to go to Watergardens..sure alot of people would agree...
Its a mall, it is small, parking is terrible and coles is here. You go here because you live here not because you would choose to shop here. It has the standard coffee shops, butchers, takeaway food, sushi, newsagents, chemist and bread.
Nice big shopping centre Well laid out. 56$ went a long way. Couldn't find sour dough bread
Lovely wee shopping center. Every store I visited, the staff were lovely and very helpful.
Not easy to find if you're not a local - you can easily miss this terrific butcher & overpriced & limited in range Asian grocery store - you need more Vietnamese products and Hao Hao noodles.
