Committed to dishing up honest and seriously tasty food that we have grown to love. Striving to serve break through cocktails that will rock your palet!

Our menu style is Modern Asian with massive influences from South East Asia. Between the four of us we have spent years traveling through Asia and have brought back our favourite recipes to cook up for you!

Sum Yung Guys is all about sharing great food with great friends! Our menu is designed to be shared amongst the table so everybody gets to try everything!

Superb local Asian inspired eating house. Busy, great vibes and high quality, beautifully presented food. Can get busy so book if you can - otherwise just grab a table in this super cool space and order the Lamb shoulder (500g of slow cooked tenderness), the miso eggplant is also a winner. Young hip wait staff but an eclectic crowd. A surprise find in Sunshine Beach. It’s worth the trip If you’re not staying in the area!! Recommended

Definitely a winner. My friend and I rocked up and were not expecting much, then we saw the neon sign and it piqued our interest, then we sat down at the bar and Sam (aka the Bartender) pretty much guided us through the menus. Every drink on the cocktail list had an ingredient you never thought should go in any beverage, let alone in a cocktail at a great restaurant. The food was also just as creative, with Pork Belly being used in sweet and sour pork, whole prawns being used in prawn toast and combining roti with mussels. Honestly, one of the best experiences I have ever had with food. My friend has already planned her birthday weekend around this place, and I am pretty happy about that as I can't wait to get back here.

Great atmosphere, inventive, delicious food. Recommended by a few locals including an Uber driver and a couple of other restaurants we visited. We were not disappointed. It's funky and fun atmosphere. The lamb shoulder was so perfectly cooked. Highly recommended.

Excellent modern pan-Asian cuisine that brings the Chin Chin vibes to beautiful Sunshine Beach. Food and cocktails are creative and ambitious, and though there are a few misses on the menu, those items can't be faulted for their innovative spirit. For the most part, however, the kitchen and bar is knocking it out of the park. The menu is divided into Small, Medium and Large portions and sharing is highly recommended. You'll have a better time of it and get to taste a little more widely if you go with a group. This place is no secret and is often packed out, so bookings are highly recommend. Try your luck even if you don't have one though and the very friendly and attentive staff might be able to help you out.

Wow! Sum Yung Guys, you exceeded our expectations! We expected it to be good, but it was beyond great! Every detail from the decor, to the outstanding flavor to the comfort of the bathrooms, not a single thing was not perfect. And the service, exceptional attention to us throughout our meal. Thanks for a sensational meal and afternoon!
