I have hired numerous pieces of equipment from these guys. They are honest and helpful. They have a fantastic reputation across the Adelaide Hills for honesty, service and helpfulness. I have also had our lawn mower and chainsaw repaired and serviced by them and found them to be fast and reasonably priced. Unfortunatley they no longer offer the service of repairs. I can only recommend this family run business. It's great to deal with people that care about what they do instead of a big multinational company where people just "do their job" without caring about customer satisfaction. Thanks Stirling Hire.

You would be far better off going down to see Kevin at Power Mowers on Glen Osmond Road for any sales. I'm unsure of how the hire business is going here, but who cares. Cheers!

I regrettably have to give these guys a low score – I was unfortunate enough to buy a $1100 lawn mower from Stirling Hire in 2014 and have since spent about twice that getting the thing repaired and serviced at Stirling Hire and other places over the last 3 years. I was once charged nearly $300 for a basic lawnmower service by these guys. The lawn mower was completely unsuited to the undulating block that I have, but was recommended by the owner simply because he was trying to flog off old stock. This place has moved to a hire only model now and have stopped servicing – the owner of the business has got a pretty bad reputation around the Adelaide Hills area, which is rightly deserved especially considering that the last time I visited to have my lemon fixed the bloke sat there and watched me haul it out of the vehicle, bring it in to the shop only to tell me that he wasn’t going to repair it, and then watched me haul it back outside and up into my vehicle again. These guys are inexperienced in the small plant game and have been known to call around all the other suppliers in the city getting advice on parts, etc. I have finally given up on this machine and am going to replace it next month with something that will not crack up the moment I use it. Others may have had a better experience here, but I think I speak for a silent majority.
