I'm 45 years old, and actively farm 10 acres in Queensland. In the past 4 years my knees had got to a point where even simple walking (on some days) was too painful, and made me limp badly. My doctor and specialist said I needed 2 knee replacements, but my age meant I would have to wait 10 years. I was encouraged to take maximum painkillers for the next 10 years to cope until knee replacements were possible. I honestly could not believe the knee specialists logic. I was told there were NO other alternatives. I am a HIGHLY active person, so on further research I came across Stem Cell Solutions in Southport. Dr Ken Johnston and his crew (including the lovely Sonya, Sasha and Jane), were AMAZING!!! They answered my barrage of questions with enthusiasm, and I felt like there was hope!!! I booked to have both my knees and left elbow done with the Stem Cell Solutions procedure. Before my procedure I was somewhat crippled by pain on most days..... After the procedure I felt no pain at all (except where they had harvested the stem cells - Which was anticipated, and only lasted a few weeks .... Which was GREAT, because it was the only reminder that I had in fact had a medical procedure, and the only thing that helped me slow down a little!!!!!). A month later I returned for the pre-planned PRP procedure. This was when I was reminded of the HUGE change in my knees and elbow. I was basically pain free!!!! It was the first time in YEARS!!! Be aware though, that it is early days (only 5 weeks have passed, and in this time I have been on 'light duties' on the farm ..... But it feels GREAT not to be in pain day and night!!! Not only can I recommend Stem Cell Solutions for my positive outcomes, but also for the love and kindness that EVERYONE at the clinic showed my husband and I throughout this procedure. You guys are GREAT!!! THANK YOU ALL! (PS I have a friend who went through the traditional surgical knee reconstruction 2 months ago, she is still in EXTREME pain, and despite TOP medical cover, she was out of pocket $4500 after one knee. I was out of pocket $9000 after BOTH knees, AND my left elbow .... and am pain free. Makes you wonder why you would even consider Stem Cell Solutions expensive .... PLUS it gives you your 'life' back!!!).

Very disappointed - Dr Kendall Johnson can be very condescending, treating you like a fool if you don't follow his vague instructions. Not to mention the absolutely ridiculous overcharging for his services. If you have a choice perhaps look elsewhere as some practices do bulk-bill for EMG studies. The practice and other staff are all very nice, but you will pay through the nose for it! I understand these doctors study hard and do great things, but to charge triple the scheduled fee is not on. No Stars.

I have been very satisfied with the treatment I have received. My knees and ankle have shown so much improvement with the treatment. The attitude of staff has been excellent. Jean has received treatment to both knees and agrees with my comments.

The ease with which i found everything explained to me. The comfort and surroundings. The professionalism, overall a very relaxing and enlightening experience in seeing a Doctor, very different to normal.

I have participated in this treatment, and as indicated above by the stars, it was, and continues to be a very positive experience for me. I can say without condition, the treatment matched, and continues to match my expectation, and on that basis, I would not hesitate to recommend the process. deahn arendsen
