Nice atmosphere. Very clean. Does not have a play area for kids anymore but they gave my daughter a little colouring book and crayons. Food and service was great .
This is a good all rounder club. Happy hour beers and cocktails on Friday and Saturday afternoons are very very cheap. Most of the staff are friendly and willing to go above and beyond. It is a great idea to become a member, for extra perks. They have a cocktail bar, which is under estimated. We're not completely convinced with the bistro, but some of their meals have proven the point.
The food is definitely worth the price I paid. This particular item is called The Italian and is very tasty and filling and I’d recommend getting it. Chicken with mince meat and I think melted cheese on top and I chose the Mashed Potato and veggies as a side option. All in all I’d definitely recommend this item and I’d definitely have it again.
Nice place for a drink and a meal. The bistro closes at 8.30pm. We arrived at 8.15pm and they quickly made our meal and it was delicious. The staff were polite and helpful and didn't pressure us to eat quickly.
Huge thankyou to the young lady manning the front reception desk. At approx 4pm today, in the teaming rain, this Angel escorted me with my walker to my car where my wife was. Without even asking for any assistance, she came with an umbrella and held it over both herself and I, making sure I didn't get wet. Her kindness was very much appreciated.
Although lacking atmosphere, the meals are good quality and large serves. They do a variety of Lunchtime Specials from $15, which management really should be advertising... the more they can bother to promote, the more patrons they'll attract!
Came out from Sydney for day and this was the first place we saw with easy parking. Best meal we’ve had in a long time. The seafood was cooked to absolute perfection. Steaks were a little off the mark for cook but still so good. Kids play area is large and it’s own room so they are not staring at police machines. Will be back for sure.
Quiet in bistro area, the food is really nice. Prices are reasonable. If you see meat that looks burnt, it's just I like very well done, I have eaten here few times and I will definitely come again. Close to local transport. Receptionist was welcoming and he ordered a taxi for us. For my experience at Illawarra Steelers I rate 5 stars
The Steelers Club I want to give a big wrap to the Steelers Club. I was impressed with how polite all the staff were that we engaged with on Friday the 1st June 2018. Everyone we spoke with was helpful, knowledgable regarding the area and extremely welcoming. We attended and for dinner and we were not disappointed. The meals were a good size for the price, well cooked, tasty and came out in timely manner. It was a comfortable well designed and decorated venue with light easy going ambience. A give place to sit and eat and enjoy a few beers and/or a wine. I will certainly eat here again at the Steelers Club when we next visit Wollongong.
We haven’t been to the steelers to eat since before covid. The snitzel and veges were cooked perfectly along with the garlic mash that used to come in a separate bowl. We went there for the first time in a while the snitzel was powdery and cold the vegetables were over cooked and cold the mash potato was from a packet and in edible. We will never eat there again unless I know there will be new chefs so so disappointing.
