Haven't had a Starbucks coffee for a couple of years as we generally prefer the less homogenised atmosphere of local non franchised Cafés. But this one, conveniently located in a side lane within the large Melbourne Central shopping complex, was suprisingly warm and inviting with a welcoming, homey atmosphere in the unusually shaped store. The place was buzzing, quite busy with lots of interesting nooks and corners for seating. We had to stand in a queue but we're served and were walking out with our takeaway coffees incredibly quickly, in around 2 minutes from walking in. And the coffee was excellent!
I wanted to order a drink double espresso same with the first photo in this morning. And I showed the staff the girl that photo, and she helped me order my drink. After that she gave my phone back and I asked her “are u sure my drink same with my photo?”. She said: “yes, i’m sure”. But when I got my drink, it was not double espresso. This is the second times or the third times the staff got wrongly my order for me. The lady wears the glasses and she has a short-hair
Light snack, cinnamon scroll with almond cap extra shot hits the spot even on a 30degree day : Cinnamon scroll would probably have been better slightly heated. Quick service especially during a busy hour…….but I noticed the delivery or hand over of the cold drinks that required a straw to other customers were abit abrupt, the drinks were almost pushed/slid along the bench and straws were thrown not placed near the drinks. Boarder line rude? Call me old fashion but I think politeness and courtesy is a universal language. But hands up for the cleanliness maintenance of the cafe, the waiting staff were on a mission wiping down and cleaning the hand rails, windows, barricades and table!
Few things to say. 1. The service regarding speed is amazing, there were 10 people in front of me but it took me 5 minutes to order. It’s an amazing job what they do. 2. Coffee was good 3. Now the bad part, there were free tables but they were not properly cleaned. They had the left overs of the previous customers see one of my pics.
I just wanted to comment on the beautiful display of patience and kindness I saw from the team today. I came in at around 7:30 and I think there was a new girl in who was being trained by another girl there. A very unkind customer came in and said some pretty nasty things to the new girl but I witnessed the team handle it with kindness and support. I'd like to share that the new girl is doing amazingly and so is the team. Thanks for my delicious caramel macchiato!!!
Spacious store offering the usual Starbucks fare! Staff were friendly and efficient and there was plenty of seating at around 7pm at night. Coffee was good however I wish I'd seen the specials before ordering. It'd be good if they were displayed better and not just at the door as you arrive. It also looks closed from the street until you get really close so it pays to walk up and check if it's open. Overall though a pleasant experience.
Good coffee, a bit busy but I wish the person who took our order would smile a bit more and be more interactive and not "robotic". I know it's kinda busy and all but I hope she is enjoying her job.Food: 4/5
Ordered chocolate frappe. It tasted like plain ice smoothie as seen on photo. Looked so pale. Just look at the photo. I wish baristas would really take time to craft the beverage. Quality of drink speaks volumes. Disappointed.
Blueberry muffin doesn't contain blueberries. Just only the flour. Even i tried to dig it through. Still couldn't find them.
The coffee is absolutely bland and overpriced comparing to local cafes, atmospheres is goodFood: 1/5
