Good food, friendly staff. Many options to eat, chicken, beef, also sea food. Its very close to St kilda playground, and has a lot of space for parking. Also it has a beatiful view outside, you can eat there and enjoy the view close to the River. The staff are very friendly and the food is very tasty.
Took our Dog.Lucky we are reliable owners! Only one container for " doggie" bags & it was empty!!!Atmosphere: 3/5
My wife an American born Aussie and myself an American / Aussie resident truly love fishing together. Before the pandemic we had the good fortune to be able to enjoy fishing in many parts of the world so we are very experienced. Also as a side note I have operated a guide service in the states for many years specializing in light tackle and fly and written articles for the now defunct Fly Fishing in Saltwater magazine, Saltwater Sportsman and a few others. I say this mainly because wen you meet people that share the same passion and that don't hesitate to share their knowledge it is more than worth mentioning. That is the case at St. Kilda Tackle N' Tucker. Cookie is a gentleman with a wealth of knowledge and Robyn his sister is lovely and goes the extra mile. We look forward to visiting their store whenever we are going to fish the area. That said, we haven't tried the Tucker part of the operation so we can't comment on that but for fishing knowledge and a positive attitude you can't go wrong. Good, knowledgeable people with a positive attitude and well stocked store. What more could you ask.
Delicious food, all fresh and perfectly cooked, friendly service
Absolutely what I expected for an out of the way fish n chip shop. Nothing special about this place. But food was decent, and timely with getting cooked. Don't order a coffee, you'll be disappointed. Customer service was mediocre, they need to learn how many half a dozen is
Bought medium chips, which is at a great price for $5.50 & they taste delicious, would recommend to anyone & lovely staff & customer service Haven't tried other things on the menu, but am definitely looking forward to giving them all a try
The best chips anywhere in South Australia. The fish is good too. Should win the best fish and chips in S.A. Highly recommend them. Yum
Have given a summary of this great place. Within the area there is also the Boat ramp which you have to get a ticket from the tackle shop not sure how much it costs to launch boat. The Tucker is great and the food is great the owners are very helpful.
When it's busy forget it. About an hour for chips, Chico and burger. Plenty leaving ahead of us. They do the simple orders first and the complicated 'burger' gets left for an hour+. They seemed a little clueless about what they were doing TBH. I like supporting local but this was an awful experience.
I would give this fish & chip shop 3 Stars for their food but honestly I have tried on so many occasions to get past their appalling customer service. I tried again today and as normal they had sold out of fish/potato cakes etc and ended up with only chips - but once again the woman made me feel unwelcome and a bother to even be spoken or served. No more!!! I refuse to be treated or spoken to like that again - the little amount of food they have there is not worth it!!! It’s such a prime position next to the playground but I’ll take my own picnic next time. I honestly cannot believe what other people write because I have never experienced kind friendly service
