Classic international style Irish pub. Good food, good beer and a warm welcome. Stopped by for a late lunch: Pint of Guinness and a Chicken Parma, both hit the spot
I ordered the steak yesterday. The mushroom sauce wasn't thick enough and was running. The top chips was fresh but the rest filed with old chips. Wasn't great taste for $35 steak
Meals were big and very delicious - good pub fare. Beers were cold and bar service good. Very noisy - to be expected on a Sunday evening. Big turn off - female bar staff chewing gum like a cow chews it's cud whilst pouring beers and serving meals trying to be helpful.
Very good atmosphere. Super friendly staff and dont forgrt its haopy hour between 4pm and 7pm :
Great Irish pub! Lots of seating options inside and outdoors. Service at the bar is quick and efficient and food service is very good too. They do an all day breakfast menu ranging from $10-$30.Recommended dishesTraditional Irish Breakfast, Sunday Roast, The Fifth Burger, Hand Cut Chips
Had dinner last night and hoping to have a bottle of wine. After seeing the prices of some I looked around to make sure just a pub or a restaurant. Just a pub. Most pubs have been to at least cheapest $25 for a bottle , here was $40 . So had only 2 glasses $9 . Ridiculous price but the beef cheeks were good even tho $30 for that.
Not one to normally leave a bad review but had a really strange experience with the security at this venue. Our friends had a table outside, three of them on a table that sat six. When we arrived there was a line, and we were told that we were not allowed to sit there and that we had to line up. Although this was a bit annoying as there was spare space on their table, we obliged out of fairness to the others in line. Whilst waiting, we were told that even if we got to the front of the line, we would not be allowed to join our friends. And instead would have to sit inside away from our friends. This was super strange and the security were really dismissive and rude whilst explaining this. I understand things can be stressful when it’s busy, but this rule made absolutely no sense. We would have happily bought food and drinks and given the venue business, but instead our entire group had to leave.
Michael apparently a manager of some sort needs to learn how to speak to people with respect and to learn management skills. I have never seen someone less qualified for a management role. after being a loyal customer I will not be returning.
Great atmosphere. Sirloin steak was well cooked and tasty. Magniers cider spot on. Service with a smile also.Food: 4/5
Truly delicious chicken pie and roast beef dinner! The Fifth Province was the perfect location for my first rugby match, especially considering it was Ireland v Scotland. The restaurant was clean and staff was friendly! Unfortunately one of the bathroom doors didn’t lock properly, but the rest of the experience was otherwise good enough that I don’t have the heart to take a star off. Just make sure it’s locked before you mount the porcelain throne. I’ll definitely be back!
