Fantastic foodThe pizza is fluffy, crispy, and the cheese‘s temp is perfect. The mushroom risotto is also very good, the rice is just right but not too raw or too soft. The pasta had a moderate spiciness and was delicious with tiger prawns. The only regret is that the beef tartar is a little salty. This store is absolutely amazing
What an absolutely underwhelming experience with very, very poor service complete with implicit racism. Not even the gorgeous views of the beach can save it. First of all, I’d liked to appreciate that the restaurant was willing to re-book our spot our original reservation was at 12pm to 12.30pm. This action and the food contributed to the 2 stars as opposed to lower. I don’t normally mention my appearance when I leave reviews, but bear with me. Now, I have Asian apperance and I came here with a party of 8 plus 2 babies - also of Asian appearances, and we were seated indoors. When we were ready to order, the bearded bloke with flannel shirt brushed us off and said, “Daniel has ordered for you guys, yeah?”. We asked him, “Who’s Daniel?”, but he ignored us and walked away! Keep in mind that no one in our party is called Daniel. Guess what happened next? A party of 8 men in suits of Asian appearances sat behind us with a guy named Daniel ordering meals for them! Wow, I would never think that having lunch here would subject me to implicit racism. Thank you very much! We decided to call another server and proceeded to order anyway. Now this younger guy got our orders right. However, when it came to serving, he was just going on, “Who ordered what” basis to us. Fine, not what I had expected of such ‘edgy’ restaurant, but sure why not. When he reached out across the table to hand me my wine, however, the lack of professionalism was dauntingly obvious. I understand that he’s probably new and it’s hard to find good hospitality staff under the current circumstances. However, this lack of professionalism should’ve been tackled earlier and promptly considering that previous reviewers have noted this as an issue. All of us ordered various meals and we were just simply underwhelmed by the average food quality. It’s edible and good hence the 2 star review, but not at all impressive. Would I come back? Hm, maybe if a Daniel really did order for us, we’d probably enjoy the food and service more. But we don’t have any Daniels among us, so nah thanks!
Recommended: Reserved a table online and staffs offered a window-side table which we could perfectly see the sunset, thank you! Food and services are great. Beef tartare is my favourite dish among the 5 dishes I ordered, they are 1 starter + 2 pizza + 2 mains.
Such a great place for lunch! Can highly recommend it! The staff are super friendly and really fast and efficient but great at their jobs! They added a very personal feel to the restaurant checking in on us and always serving with a smile! The food was also great! The pizza was delicious and the fish and chips where very yummy! I’m not usually someone who likes beer bated fish but this was delicious! The beer selection was decent and the cocktails where delicious! In particular the pina colada! The location plus the view is to die for and the venue is super modern and clean. It is also very well priced! 5/5 stars from me!
The restaurant was full and busy but the service was very quick. We all liked mock cocktails. The seafood was fresh but we thought the texture of the spaghetti was a bit strange. I regularly go to Italian restaurants in Carlton. Probably, they use a different type of spaghetti. Anyhow, I've given 5 stars because, overall, the food was good and the wait staff were very nice and professional.
Had dinner and mulled wine here before Nigel Ng's show. It was dark but you can tell its a great spot. I would come back for lunch. Service was prompt. We had random selection of foods. My favourite was the pork and mushroom pizza.
I think this is my favourite mushroom risotto in Melbourne! Love it!!! First time having dinner here it is surprised me, so good! can't wait to visit again.
Gorgeous views but even better food. We sat in the indoor restaurant area surrounded by beachfront views of the sand and the sea. For starters was beetroot hummus and warm sourdough - what an absolute hit of flavour in that hummus! Zesty, not shy on herbs or presentation, paired with the soft warm sourdough was a treat. The prosciutto pizza was on another level. I could eat a whole spoon of just the sauce on its own. The base held together so well and it was super easy and delicious to eat. If you’re after a refreshing non-alcoholic drink, definitely try the virgin nohito - so minty and thirst-quenching. Service was friendly however slightly uncoordinated however I assume that is due to them just opening back up and getting into the rhythm of things. Will look forward to returning
Went to St. Kilda for some coastal walk and ended eating at the Republic. Good seats in front of the beach. Ordered prawn pasta and fennel pizza. Both were goodFood: 4/5
Loved this place, definitely will be back. Would recommend the mushroom risotto! So much flavour packed into this meal. Atmosphere was so great, such a picturesque location and the staff were so kind and accommodating !
